LG G VISTA VS880 LG BACKUP

With the Backup application preloaded on your device, you can backup and restore most of your device's data, including downloaded and pre-installed applications, bookmarks, calendar entries, contacts, home screen settings, and system settings. You may also:

  • Perform a manual backup of your device's data.
  • Schedule automatic backups of your device's data.
  • Restore your device's data.

Note: The first time you run an LG Application like LG Backup, you will be prompted with the LG apps rights agreement. To use these applications you need to accept both the End User License Agreement and Privacy policy.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps  > Settings  > Backup & reset  > and tap LG Backup service.

  2. Tap Backup

  3. Select Internal storage or SD card (if installed) as the location to store your backup.  Checkmark  Lock backup files if you would like to set a password for your backup file, and tap Next to continue.

  4. Checkmark  the items you would like to backup, and tap Next.

Note: The next page will notify you that your backup (and all files) will be deleted from your device after a factory data reset. Copy your backup file to a PC before performing a factory data reset.

  1. Tap Start to continue, and tap Done when backup is completed.

If you selected Internal storage for you backup location, your backup (and all files) will be deleted from your device after a factory data reset. Before the factory reset we recommend you move or copy the backup files to a PC.

  1. Connect your device to a PC using a MicroUSB cable (you may use the cable attached to your LG charger).

  2. Once connected, you may be prompted on your device to select a USB connection type. Select Media sync (MTP).

  3. On the PC, open My computer/Computer > [Your device name] > Internal storage > LGBackup.

  4. Right click on the backup file ending with .lbf. Then select Copy.

  5. Select a location on the PC to save the file. Right click your mouse in that location and select Paste to save the backup file to your PC.

  1. Connect your device to a PC using a MicroUSB cable (you may use the cable attached to your LG charger).

  2. Once connected, you may be prompted on your device to select a USB connection type. Select Media sync (MTP).

  3. On the PC, right click your mouse on the backup file ending with .lbf that you previously saved onto your PC. Then select Copy.

  4. Open My computer/Computer > [Your device name] > Internal storage > LGBackup.

  5. Right click your mouse in that location and select Paste to save the backup file to your device.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps  > Settings  > Backup & reset  > and tap LG Backup service.

  2. Tap File restore & management

  3. Select the file from the Backup list that contains the data you wish to restore.

  4. Checkmark  the item(s) you wish to restore. Tap the arrow  to expand each section and select individual items to restore. Tap Next to continue.

Note: The next page will notify you that the data currently on your device will be deleted and replaced with data on the backup file. Once deleted, data currently on your device cannot be restored.

  1. Tap Start to continue with restoration. When restore is complete, tap Done and your device will automatically reboot.

    Caution: Once started, restoration cannot be cancelled. During restoration, device will go into airplane mode. Some features and front keys of the device will be limited.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps  > Settings  > Backup & reset  > and tap LG Backup service.

  2. Tap Scheduled backup  , and tap the switch  ON to enable scheduled backup.

  3. Tap Backup location, select Internal storage or SD card (if installed), and tap Done.

  4. Tap Backup items, checkmark   the items you want to backup, and tap Done.

  5. Tap Backup time to select the Time, Repeat cycle, and Set date for the scheduled backup to repeat. Tap Done when you are finished.

  6. Tap Scheduled backup files and select the number of files to store. When there are more than the number of files selected the older backup files will be deleted.

  7. Checkmark  Lock backup files if you would like to set a password for your backup file.
