LG V10 BATTERY LIFE & CHARGING LG V10 BATTERY LIFE & CHARGING

Your LG V10 monitors system resources and application usage in real time to check modeling and power consumption. For apps that are consuming more power than expected, a notification is provided to inform you via notification panel or Smart Notice.

Note:

  • If an app that is not used for more than a month consumes mobile phone data and battery and the standby time is reduced by 5% or more, a notification is provided via notification panel or Smart Notice.

  • If an app is abnormally ended, is not in use, or is operating in the background consuming battery, a notification is provided.

  • Smart Battery function works for downloaded apps only.

  • If Smart Notice is active on a home screen, you will receive notifications in the widget. Otherwise you will receive notifications from the notification shade.


Smart Battery monitoring works automatically out-of-box with LG V10. If you are using the Smart Notice widget, ensure the following options are enabled.

To enable notifications using Smart Notice:

  1. Ensure you have the Smart Notice widget on your Home screen.

  2. Tap the Gear icon

  3. Scroll down and place a checkmark next to Smart Tips and Battery Drain.

In addition to the automatic battery monitoring from Smart Battery, you can manually check battery usage on your LG V10 and enable Battery saver.

To manually check battery usage:

  1. From the home screen, tap Apps icon > Settings > General tab > Battery & power saving.

  2. Tap Battery usage to see a usage graph and stats. Scroll down to see individual applications and % of battery life they have consumed during the given period.

To enable Battery saver:

  1. From the home screen, tap Apps icon > Settings > General tab > Battery & power saving.

  2. Tap Battery saver and then slide the switch to ON to enable.

  3. Select battery level to automatically enable battery saver and select to restrict apps in background and/or block use of Second screen.

Note: Restricting apps in the background may impact prevent certain app functions like receiving notifications, downloading, and streaming.
