Take a Photo

1. Open the Camera , then tap Manual Mode to change the mode.

2. Tap to switch to the standard camera or to switch to the wide angle camera.

3. Tap the screen to focus the camera.

4. Tap the Capture button or tap Volume Up or Down key to take a photo.

• How do I change the Flash mode?

  Tap on Flash mode to cycle though the settings; Flash Off, Flash On, Auto Flash, Red-Eye reduction.

• How do I change the camera settings?

  Tap on the Gear icon to change the following settings:

  • Tap Aspect Ratio to change image format for photos or video.
  • Tap Film Effect to add filter effects that give photos a classic look.
  • Tap Timer to set timer. Choose between Off, 3 seconds or 10 seconds.
  • Tap Voice to enable/disable voice activation. When activated, say "Cheese or Smile" to take a picture.
  • Tap Grid/Level to enable/disable Grid/Level settings.
  • Tap Histogram to switch histogram On/Off.
  • Tap Save location to switch between internal storage and the microSD card.
• What is Exposure?

  Exposure is the amount of light captured to create a photo and it is made up of 3 properties:

  • Shutter Speed
  • ISO

• When should I adjust Shutter Speed?

  Adjust settings to freeze fast action shots or longer Shutter Speed to capture movement.

  Note: When you adjust Shutter Speed, it is necessary to adjust ISO as well for a good exposure. Typically, the faster the Shutter Speed the higher the ISO.

• When should I adjust ISO settings?

  Control the sensitivity of your camera sensor for almost all lighting situations.

  Note: When you adjust ISO, it is necessary to adjust Shutter Speed as well for a good exposure. Typically, the higher the ISO the faster the Shutter Speed.

• What is the Aperture ?

  The Aperture is an opening between the lens and shutter that assists in regulating the amount of light that passes to the sensor. The smaller the f/number, the larger the Aperture opening.

• What is White Balance?

  Adjust to compensate for color tone preferences in different lighting conditions. Measured in degrees on a Kelvin scale.

• What are RAW images?

  RAW images are uncompressed files that give you the freedom to edit to your needs.

  • Capture images in JPEG or JPEG+RAW
  • RAW images allow for professional enhancement with photo editing software.

  Note: It is recommended that you use a microSD card class 10 or higher for saving RAW files.

• What other camera features are there?

  Histogram
