From the Home Screen, tap Apps
> Contacts

Select add
-
Above the contact name, tap to select an Account of where to save the contact.

Enter a name and Phone number for the contact.

Tap Save.
Note: You can also access phone, enter the number under Dial tab and select Create Contact.
Note: By default contacts will be saved to the internal phone memory.
For android devices it is recommended to save contacts to your Gmail Account because contacts saved to the phone can only be viewed on the phone.
Contacts saved to the Gmail Account are backed up online, can be viewed on the phone and are accessible from the Gmail Account on any device.
Accounts are a way to connect your phone to content saved on the web such as social media and emails.
By adding an Account such as Gmail, contacts linked to it are automatically imported to your device unless specified otherwise.
To add an Account:

From the Home screen, tap Apps
> Settings

General Tab > Accounts & Sync
> Add Account.

Sync IOS contacts with the iCloud.

From the main screen of your IOS device, access your Apps > Settings
> iCloud

Locate contacts
and validate the tab is turned on
Export contacts from the iCloud.

On a computer or on your phone, open the browser to www.icloud.com.

Enter your Apple ID and password.

Select Contacts

Either select individual contacts or select the gear on bottom left and click Select All.

Select the Gear and click export VCard.
Note: By default most browsers will save files to a download folder.
If you experience difficulties with Google Chrome, try another browser.Import contacts to Gmail.

On a computer or on your phone, open the browser to contacts.google.com.

Enter your gmail user and password.

Select More > Import.

Select Choose File and locate the file exported from the iCloud.

Select Open.

Select Import.
Note: By adding the Gmail Account to your phone, all your contacts in Gmail will display.

Export contacts from outlook and import them to Gmail

Open Microsoft Outlook and access the contacts tab

Select File > Import and Export.

Selsect Expport to a file and click next.

Select Comma Separated Values and click next.

Select Contacts and click next.

Select the Browse button.

Select where you want to save contacts, give the file a name and click OK.

Select Next.

Select finish.
Import contacts to Gmail.

On a computer or on your phone, open the browser to contacts.google.com.

Enter your gmail user and password.

Select More > Import.

Select Choose File and locate the file exported from the iCloud.

Select Open.

Select Import.

Tap Import.

Select from where to import.

Select the destination to save the contacts.

Select the file to import and tap import on the bottom right.

Tap Import / Export.

Tap Import from SIM Card or Import from SD card.

Select the destination of where to save the contacts.

Tap Back up.

Tap the destination to save the contacts.

Tap the individual contacts or SELECT ALL and tap export on the bottom right.

Enter a desired file name and tap OK which will create a .vcf.

Tap Import / Export.

Tap Export to SIM Card or Export to SD card.

Copy, will copy contacts from an Account to another Account such as one email to another.
- From the Home Screen, tap Apps
> Contacts

Tap Menu

Select Manage contacts.

Tap Copy.

Select an Account where to copy contacts from.

Select an Account to copy contacts to.

Select Yes on the message Some field infro may be lost. Copy?
Note: Older version of androiod may not have copy, in that case export contacts to the SD card and import them to the desired Account.
When moving contacts from one Account to another, the recieving Account may not have all the fields such as birthday or website. - From the Home Screen, tap Apps

The phone will suggest contacts with the same name to be joined / merged as one contact.
- From the Home Screen, tap Apps
> Contacts

Tap Menu

Select Manage contacts.

Tap Join or Merge

The phone will suggest contacts to join / merge, if you agree, tap join / merge next to the contact being suggested.
Note: If you merge a contact by accident, on the top of the screen select Merged / Joined contacts, locate the contacts you wish to un-join / un-merge, and tap separate.

How to share contacts?

- Select the contact to be shared.
- Tap Menu
- Tap Share
- Select the application through which to send the contact.

- Tap above the name to display the different Accounts and select the desired one.
Note: prior to android Jelly Bean, this is not an option, you will need to export contacts to the SD card and import them to the desired location.

How to merge contacts with different names?
This feature combines two contacts information under one name.
To manage duplicate contacts from multiple Accounts on your phone:- From the Home Screen, tap Apps
> Contacts
- Select a Contact > Menu
> Merge.
- The phone provides suggestion of contacts to join, select Show all contacts to select another name to join.
- Tap the contact to merge.
- From the Home Screen, tap Apps

How to show contacts from specific Account?
- From the Home Screen, tap Apps
> Contacts
> Menu
> Contacts Settings > Contacts to display.
- Select an Account to only display contacts from that Account.
Select All contacts to display all Accounts.
Select customize and select contacts from more than one Account but not all Accounts. - Select Apply Button to finish.
