Commercial - Free to Guest to file management (FTG)

This guide details the steps for converting a .fma or .rml file to a .tlx file for loading a channel map and model specific installer menu settings to a commercial hospitality television.

Before you begin install FTG Device Configuration Application & The User Guide (FMA) from http://www.lgsolutions.com/ftgsoftware.

  1. Go to Configure and select FMA.

  2. If the Channel map file has a .RML extension, Go directly to step 11.

  3. In the center section titled FMA Configuration click the Open button.

  4. Select your FMA file.

  5. In the center section click on the mapped channels line.

  6. In the left section titled FTG Channel Map click the << button (see above).

    • This moves your mapped channels to the FTG Channel Map section.
  7. In the upper left corner click File > Save.

    • Note this will save the channel map as a *.rml file.
  8. Open the FTG File Manager Software version 1.1.0 or higher.

  9. Click File > Open.

  10. Select your *.rml file.

  11. In the left section titled FTG File click the >> next to the mapped channels.

  12. In the left section, lower left corner, use the drop down box to find your chassis.

  13. After finding it click the Load button.

  14. Click the >> button next to FTG Installer Menu Settings.

  15. Both Mapped Channels and Chassis Model will be in the center section titled “FTG Configuration List”.

  16. Next click Configure > FTG Installer Menu.

  17. Here you can set the installer options like the start up channel and others options.

  18. When finished click Configure and select FTG File Manager.

  19. Again be sure both items from step 17 above are in the center section.

  20. Click Save, then name the file and place it on the root folder of the USB drive.

    You will be able to use the same method to transfer the TLX file to the TV as the FMA.
