LG Range - Clean & Care For The Control Panel

[Narrator]
  • Welcome to the LG customer support channel.

  • In this short video, we will show you how to clean and care for the control panel on your LG range.

  • To prevent from activating your control panel during cleaning, start by removing power to your range or by enabling the lockout or oven lock function.

  • You can do this by pressing and holding down the start key for approximately 3 seconds.

  • Initially the lock melody will sound, oven lockout will appear in the display and a door lock indicator will also flicker.

  • Once the oven door is locked, the door locks indicator will stop flickering and remain on the display.

  • Most of the buttons on your control panel besides the clock, timer, and the oven light will be disabled and your oven door will automatically lock.

  • If there are stains on your control panel, the best way to clean is by using a jam cloth and some soapy water.

  • You may also use a glass cleaner.

  • Avoid spraying any type of liquid directly onto the control panel.

  • Instead spray it onto a cloth and then proceed to clean.

  • To maintain the stainless steel surface around your LG range, use warm soapy water or a stainless steel polish or cleaner on a soft cloth or sponge.

  • Remember to always wipe in the direction of the grain.

  • Once you're finished cleaning, reactivate your control panel by pressing and holding down the start key for 3 seconds.

  • The unlock melody will sound, the door locked indicator will flicker and unlocking will appear in the display until the controls and the oven door is a lot.
