I apologize, but no. This television does not have any networking capabilities. As such, it cannot receive a Netflix data stream without connecting some external device. The only possibility that it might have would be to connect a Smart TV Upgrader, such as the SP520. It can connect to the television using the HDMI connection, and will allow a network connection from that point, and also has a built-in Wi-Fi component. We appreciate your interest in this television. This device has not been configured to operate with headphones. The only option we might suggest would be to connect a Home Theater System to the Optical Digital Audio Output connection, and then connect your Headset to that audio system.

Optical Audio does not work 32LH40

Is there a service menu available on this set like the hospitality models? Does the optical audio have to be turned on some how?

Answer: 
Yes, the OPTICAL Digital Audio Output jack does have to be activated, but it should not require a service menu. Access the AUDIO menu on the TV. Setting the TV SPEAKER option to OFF should route the audio signal to the OPTICAL port.
