Answer:
Not so much an answer as a comment---Agree with bluegrass of Iowa. I didn't have a philips that would fit into the longer holes---Just put it together with two smaller screws on the part of base with rounded corners, so had the 4 longer screws left over. I had to first fit the base part into the holder on the bottom of the TV to determine which direction the pieces were to face, then screw them together and re-insert the base. The diagram of the parts wasn't particularly helpful. The TV was a gift from a relative who lives 1500 mi from me---Didn't want to disappoint them by telling them I was having trouble assembling. It must not occur to engineers that not everyone has a full range of tools--Could be more user friendly.

Answer:
It attaches with the screws provided. First find a LONG bladed phillips head screwdriver and make sure it is magnetized to hold the screws because the holes are very deep and require a long bladed driver to reach the threaded portion in the base. I needed my wife to hold a bright light shining down in the holes to accomplish this task!

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this television. The stand base and stand body connect with four M4x20 machine screws. Line up the 4 screw holes, with the broader portion of the stand body facing toward the deeper half of the base.

Answer:
There is a Digital Audio Out (Optical) port, as well as the AV ports (red and white ports) that you referred to. For best audio and video quality, try to utilize the 2 HDMI ports that this TV offers.

Answer:
This answer only applies if you use Direct TV...otherwise I don't know the answer. You must open the little box on the receiver and push the red button. The receiver will reset and ultimately go back to the 1080p setting. This could take as long as 5 minutes.

Answer:
This television is designed with a 1080p native resolution. All signals that are received are converted to fit this 1920x1080 resolution. The display that shows different resolutions comes from the receiver box, and is advising what resolution is being sent to the TV.

We have recently purchased the 32LK450. We will be watching a program and all of a sudden the TV shuts itself off. Sometimes it comes right back on and other times it takes a few minutes, and sometimes it just keeps popping off and on. Have checked the sleep timer, per the Owner's Manual, and it is not the issue. Have also checked the cable box - it stays on when the TV is doing the off & on thing - and the cable company assures us that it is not because of the cable service. I am beginning to think that the TV is faulty, but would appreciate if you can advise as to any reason other than the TV being defective that might cause this issue.

Answer:
You've probably tried this, but click on "Home" then "Audio." If "Clear Voice" is set to "ON," then "Infinite Surround" is off by default. I turned "Clear Voice" off, so that I could turn on "Infinite Surround." That improved my sound. But my TV didn't sound like they were underwater, to begin with. OR, if your Infinite Surround is on, you could try turning on "Clear Voice," & see if that helps.

There is also an "auto" setting. I set mine to "On" so that the sound is more consistent from channel to channel.

Then there are the SOUND MODES in that same screen. You might have it set to GAME or something, which might alter the sound. It doesn't seem to change it much on mine.

If the above doesn't work, and if you don't have your TV hooked to outside audio speakers, then I'd say there's something wrong with either the way you did the connections, or something wrong with the TV.

But for the sound settings, the sound should work decently enough, no matter the settings. As long as you don't have the TV connected to outside speakers.

If it's your connections, you could do the "chat" feature with product support to figure that out. The connections can be tricky, depending on what you are connected to (cable box or whatever - mine goes from satellite box to DVD player to TV).

Answer:
We regret your dissatisfaction with this television. It is recommended to check the installation of this unit, to ensure that nothing is crowded around the bottom of the screen. You may also try the different SOUND MODE options to see if the presets seem different. Other than this, you may connect a Home Theater System or Sound Bar to the OPTICAL Digital Audio Output jack to enhance the audio output of the TV.

If you been hearing about how amazing Blu-ray entertainment is, or how much better your favorite shows would look in HD, you've heard right. The thing is, you need 1080p Full HD to get the most out of both. With the LK450, you can.
