Answer:
Try the 26LV2500. I would think this is getting to be more common with TV's?? I hope so. I bought mine in January 2012 for the bedroom. I mounted it on the wall. You can use an external hard drive, laptop or thumb drive to watch movies via the USB port. I don't know which formats it plays, but it has played every movie so far. I had bought another TV (competitor) that only allowed you to view photos and listen to music via the USB port. When I realized it didn't play video I returned it. I love that I don't need to buy a media player. The TV remote has the FF/RW/Play buttons so no need for a second remote. I bought the small "passport" size external hard drive that power via USB so no power cord to deal with. I used the Velcro sticky picture hangers to mount on the backside so it's hidden. Plus, this way I can remove it to plug into my laptop to add movies. It's a clean look as there's no additional power cord, and no media player which would be yet another power cord. I bought a 22" LG with the same setup for my kid's bedroom. I'm now looking for a 32" LG for my living room to do the same setup. I've been telling everyone about this feature and my setup.

I actually used the Cable remote's search feature to locate the code, but Comcast lists the following possibles: 11265, 10178, 10700, 10856, 11178, 11758 and 11993.

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this television. Typically, when searching for a code for synchronization, this would be related to a remote control code. These codes would be provided by the manufacturer of the remote control you are attempting to use. The cable box remote control is designed as a Universal Remote Control. We do not have programming codes available for those remote controls manufactured by other companies. All codes to be used will be located in the setup instructions for the Universal Remote Control. If you have experienced trouble in locating codes for LG, you may also try using Zenith or Goldstar codes, as some of these coincide with LG frequencies.

TV timer

I'm specifically looking for a TV that will turn itself off at a specific time if I fall asleep. I believe this TV has that ability. Please confirm.
Thanks

Yes my LED 42" LG TV has a sleep timer on it and it works extremely well. My last TV did not have one and I was looking for that feature.

Answer:
Yes, there is composite input. At first I hooked up my old VCR/DVD player with the coaxial TV input and then I tried the composite connection. The composite connection was much better.

Answer:
Yes. The owners manual even helps to troubleshoot if the connections aren't quite right. On my first attempt I got a black and white picture with no volume, and the manual helped me realize I was close but had to realign the cables.
