Answer:
I don't understand LGjoel's response. I own the 32LV2400UA, it has an audio out connector, 1/8" headphone jack next to the Optical digital output connector. See page 11 diagram #2 of the owners manual.
It has a menu adjustment in audio section, can be changed from fixed to variable. You can figure how it how it works from there.

Can audio out port volume be control by tv remote?

I have a set of computer speakers that I have plugged into the audio out port. Is there anyway the volume of these speakers can be control using the lg tv remote? At this time only the internal speakers on the tv are being controlled by the remote.

Answer:
In the audio menu at the bottom you will find the line , analog audio output. This can be changed from fixed to variable. The downside, when in the variable mode the internal speakers are on, and they can not be muted without muting the external computer speakers.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this television. This unit does not have the VARIABLE AUDIO OUT feature that would be required to control the volume of external equipment. The only way to adjust the volume of those computer speakers is if they have a volume control of their own.

Answer:
Yes, but it will take a little work and additional components.
I'm in this same process at this time.
There is a connector on the back named Audio Out. This will except the standard 1/8" headphone plug. It has enough power to drive a headphone but not a speaker. (At least not with adequate volume).
So you need an amplifier and speaker. The easiest route is to get a
computer speaker system. Talk to Radio Shack if don't have knowledge to do this.
One caveat; the Audio Out connector has a MENU control. When set to VARIABLE the remote will control the volume of your external speaker. if you mute the tv, it will mute the internal and external speakers. If you set the MENU to FIXED the external speaker will be controlled only by the control on the external amp knob. So you can mute the internal speaker and he can still hear his chair speaker.
Hope that's helpful.

Answer:
There are two audio output connections on this television. The AUDIO OUT connection is designed to allow the output of the audio signal to a set of Computer Speakers, which can be positioned where you will. The other is the OPTICAL Digital Audio Out connection that is designed to connect to a Home Theater System. When either of these connections is used, you will need to set the TV SPEAKER setting to its OFF mode, in order to route the audio signal to the external speakers.
