Answer:
You can browse the internet, but there are two things you should know: 1) I could not get a wireless USB keyboard to be recognized; and 2) flash video/apps are not supported, so some sites will not display correctly.

Yes but the browser seems to be somewhat limited. I don't consider it to be a full internet experience.

Answer:
There is NO headphone jack. The only audio-out is optical. If there is such a thing as USB headphones, they MAY work, otherwise I think you would need a sound bar or a receiver.

Answer:
I cannot find a headphone jack on my TV. I think here are a couple of possible ways around this. One is to use a USB headphone, but that might not turn off the TV speakers if you are looking to listen quietly. Another possibility is to use the RCA Left and Right Audio jacks. Here you would need to either find a special cable with two RCA plugs on one end and a female connector an the other end that you can plug a headphone plug into, or you could build a small box with RCA Input jacks and wire them to a stereo headphone out put jack. Then set the TV to the external speaker mode.

Answer:
I apologize, but no; this television does not have a headphone jack. We have no recommendations for making such a connection, other than to connect an external audio system to the OPTICAL Digital Audio Output jack, and connecting the headphones to that port.

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this television. It seems that this TV may have its Energy Saving features active. One of these features is designed to automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV based on the ambient lighting. Try to deactivate the Energy Saving feature to see if this resolves the matter. If it does not correct the situation, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

What's the best way to connect the TV to the sounbar HDMI or Optical port?

Answer:
If you are connecting from a television output to a soundbar I would use the Optical Output because this carries sound at a high digital quality and there is no need to send video to a soundbar. Hope this helps you, there is several cable brands and some perform better than others. If using in a bedroom I normally go with a $20-30 cable if it is main system I spend more.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in connecting your 42" 1080p 120Hz LG HDTV Model # 42LB6300.
The Digital Optical port (or Toslink) and HDMI both will give uncompressed digital 5.1 audio, so it really is a matter of choice and which cable you have available. HDMI is the new kid on the block in this case and may be the more ubiquitous and easier cable to connect so use that. Don't forget to go into your TV's menu and make sure that you have the sound set to go to either PCM or however they have it labeled...IFV
