Sharing Remote?

I just bought a new 42PN4500 TV and a BP330 Blu Ray player. Can I use one remote for both appliances? The TV remote has buttons at the bottom that look like it could be used with a video file (play, stop, etc).

Answer:
Yes, this television and BluRay player are both designed to be compatible with each other, as well as to be operated by the same remote control. Connect both devices using a standard HDMI cable. Activate the SimpLink feature on these devices which will automatically connect the operations of the remote controls. The TV remote does not appear to have a Power Button for an external device, however, it does appear that the BluRay remote control has a Power Button for the TV. If you have additional questions about this matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

TV shuts off during action scenes.

My 42PN4500 powers itself off during flashing scenes, eg; lightning
on screen on standard and vivid picture settings, but does not power
off on cinema and economy settings. Do I have a defective set, I still
have time to send it back for an exchange. I am running an HDMI cable with Verizon fios cable and have tried 3 HDMI cables with the same results. Thank You.

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this television. It seems, from the description, that the image may be overloading or overheating with the brighter images. It will be difficult to determine without an inspection of the product; however, it does not seem to be proper operation. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....
