Answer:
LED is considered to be the better technology now, so if you're willing to pay the extra price, go for it. Although, I'm fine with LCD, so it's really up to you.

Answer:
LCD displays look great in brightly lit environments, and are considered excellent for gaming. Their energy efficiency is superior to Plasma, and their light weight means they're great for mounting on a wall.
The latest technology uses LED backlighting to deliver extremely vivid colors and deep blacks, with a contrast ratio comparable to Plasma. LED TVs are superior to LCD TVs, and are LG's slimmest, most energy efficient televisions.

I have to buy a piece of furniture for it to stand on and don't know from the size of the TV itself how much space I'll need on the furniture for it.

Answer:
No, I saw those specs online already. that just tells you how big the TV is once there is a stand on it. I want to know JUST the dimensions of the stand. the thing the TV sits on to stand. Not what the TV will be once it is connected. The TV itself does not sit on a piece of furniture, only the stand does. That's what I need to know.

Answer:
Go into the menu of your device and under video/picture settings. You will need a tv that is 1080p and device and have hdmi-hdmi cable hooked up. If you have a older silver cable box, it will only go to 1080i/720p/480p/480i.

Answer:
If you want high definition for your HD content, games and Blu-ray entertainment, there's nothing better than 1080p Full HD. And if you want sports and fast action to be as a crisp as they are exciting, TruMotion 120Hz virtually loses the blur and keeps the sizzle. The LK520 1080p LCD TV brings you both along with the other great features that make LG TVs something better.
