Swivel Stand

I just bought this 47LN5400 TV. The overview says it has a swivel stand but I can't get it to move. I don't want to break the stand, why won't it swivel?

Answer:
I just bought this today, and the overview still says it's a swivel stand. There's no swivel in my stand. Who did you contact at LG?

Answer:
The base does NOT swivel. You either miss-read the overview or the overview is incorrect.

Answer:
Check the background light you can see. Some really show the lights you have on in the room - reflection. Not so much on lcd - worse on led but I now have a led and can live with it - i think the pic is better. Don't need a smart tv is you have a smart blueray/dv player & its cheaper.

Answer:
The ideal settings really depend upon the room your TV is in. Every viewing situation is different (viewing distance, ambient light, glare from windows, etc.) and people's tastes are different. I searched online and found a TV review website that posted the settings they used when testing our TV. I took those settings as a base, then changed them to fit how I wanted the image to look like in our environment.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this television. The “best” configuration is that which you find most favorable. Try different settings to see which one you prefer. It is suggested to utilize the PICTURE WIZARD II feature in the PICTURE menu. This will take you, step-by-step, through the setup of the picture using your own preferences.

Answer:
This TV does NOT have built-in WiFi, and it does NOT have an ethernet connection. So you CANNOT hookup your WiFi or router directly to the TV.
You can hookup your laptop or computer via a HDMI cable to the TV to stream form the computer to the TV screen...this pretty much just treats the TV like a really nice, big monitor.

Answer:
Yes you can. I have a WII, PS3, and a blue ray player hooked up to the tv and all 3 can support Netflix. You must have a wireless internet router from your computer to do this.

Answer:
About 4-5ft long, I was a little disappointed - needed to get an extension cord because the cord was about a foot away from the plug because of the location of the cable in the back of the TV.. If your socket is directly behind the TV you will be alright though.
