Answer:
This tv works great for gaming. I have a pc hooked up to it along with other A/V devices. I do recommend you use a high quality HDMI cable rather than a cheaper one as it will make a difference in the data transfer rate to the tv. Using the VGA connection is also not as good an option as the quality isnt as good, like with any tv really but HDMI blows it away. I use my pc to even play 3D movies on this tv with no lag at all. Games too.

Most newer pc's have an HDMI connection anyway so you should be able to use this option.

Answer:
It really all depends on what games you play....

I have had the tv for a year and anything that requires great timing like baseball games or music games like Rock Band and Singstar I have problems with whether its XBox or PS3 (I have both) because the lag between the video and audio is pretty sizeable even through in game calibration....

The audio is MUCH worse than the video and even when the AV Sync is maxed, there is still lag between speaking and what is heard audibly through speakers....

I would suggest digital video cable and analog audio to minimize the effects

Answer:
This TV should be fine in gaming mode since that turns off the video processing features. I still use it with true motion on which can add lag but I haven't noticed it enough to be find it a problem so I use it even in my fast action online games.

Answer:
yes, the glasses dont use any batteries. They are almost the same glasses you get at the theater which you throw away. Next time you watch a 3d movie at the theater, keep the glasses, and you can use them on this tv :)

Answer:
Our 3D glasses are just like the ones you get at the movie theater, so there are no batteries required and they don’t need recharging. Plus, they’re easy to replace, lightweight and give you a high quality 3D picture.

Answer:
7,000,000:1 is the contrast ratio on this TV which is pretty close to top of the line considering some from Vizio and other only LCDs have like 50,000:1

Your going to get really good picture out of it and the fact the almost any content your going to get is 60hz any ways. IE movies blu ray I in fact don't know of any content that uses 120hz or 240hz though it could be useful for games as an Xbox can produce around 100hz and it would be more clear with less interlacing. If you hook it up to a pc you could get 240hz content though.

It is a great 2d tv one of the best, for the extra 20% why not get 3D content and a smart tv which is handy and nice for streaming netfilx , skype etc.

Cinema 3-D?

on the "new" 55' version on the best buy site it says "has LG Cinema 3-D" but on this description it just says "has 3-D technology". I believe this 47LG6500 has *CINEMA 3-D* as well, but I'd rather make sure than just order and hope.
