Why did my colors go blue/yellow saturated after watching a DVD?

I just used my new blu-ray player for the first time with my week old 50PA6500 and we watched my daughter's "Tangled" DVD. Beeeaauuuutiful picture even if it was an upscaled regular DVD. I turned the picture up to "Standard" up from my toned down Expert 1 setting just for that movie since I'm still less than 100 hours in but wanted to flex the picture a bit. When I turned off the blu-ray player and turned the cable box back on, all of the channels were yellow/blue saturated. I turned everything off and back on only to see the same horrible picture again. Ran through all of the picture settings... everything was still set like I had it on Expert 1 and even changing through the canned modes had the same colors. I finally turned the color wash on for 3 or 4 minutes and the picture was back to normal when I turned color wash off.

Any ideas?

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this television. It is unusual for such a distortion in the colors to occur. It is recommended to test the BluRay player with the TV again, to see if the same results are achieved. If they do not, then this may have been a freak accident, and everything should operate normally. However, if the same problem occurs, then it would be suggested to try the same method for correcting the matter, and then test the BluRay player on a different connection. If the same problem occurs again, then the TV may require service for its connection panel. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

How do I turn on the color wash in my LG50PA6500

I have had this set since March 2012 and I am very pleased with it.
Reading other user sites I read of people doing a color wash every few weeks or so.

We appreciate your interest in this television and its features. Access the TV MENU screens, and select SETTINGS. From this point, access the OPTIONS listing for the ISM METHOD features. Your COLOR WASH is one of the Image Sticking Minimization (ISM) methods.
