Answer:
Netflix has 4k content on the horizon. Most high end blu ray players upscale the content and some web content is already out there. It's out there if you look hard enough. Just like 1080p content a few years ago.

Thank you for your interest in the LG - 55" Class (54-5/8" Diag.) - LED - 4K Ultra HD TV (2160p) - 240Hz - Smart - 3D - HDTV Model # 55LA9650. I am not sure that you can play the 2 at the same time. If you had picture in picture you might be able to make that happen. You might want to call our TV experts at the Customer Information Center (800) 243-0000 and ask them about that...IFV

Answer:
That' not exactly true. 1080p is up converted but I would think it of as1080p on steroids. It is still 1080p but with more information.

Answer:
Basically what this unit does is splits the screen in half making it 2K on one side and 2K on the other. Then the glasses combine those images making it a 3D image. So technically it doesn't up convert but you are still viewing a 2K image verses a regular 1080p image.

Trumotion video smoothing on Amazon Video

I've turned off the Trumotion but it's evidently in effect when watching internet video like Amazon. Is there any way to turn this off? I just want to normal frame rate.

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this television. The frame rate has nothing to do with the TruMotion feature. The frame rate, for this TV model, is 240Hz. The TruMotion is simply in place to smooth the transitions between the frames. This function is not controllable through the online content.

Does my current TV support 4K HEVC streaming (ala Netflix)

None of these 2013 models has native HDMI 2.0 support, but LG has indicated a hardware upgrade for this and to support 4K HEVC streaming (ala Netflix) is to be released in September 2014 for ~$400 which includes installation by LG techs.

This was an excerpt from a post about the 55LA9650. Is my TV capable of doing what is mentioned in the above post?

My Serial Number is 402KCXMAG826
I was told that my TV was made in February of 2014 and it is HDMI 2.0 compatible or will I need to upgrade in Sept?

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this television. No indication is noted, in your post, as to what model is actually owned; rather only referring to that which was referenced in a previous post. Also, we cannot determine yet, what the price of the upgrade will be, as we still have no indication of the actual cost of the needed part, nor do we have any control over technician pricing. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for information on this matter.
