I have a room with a lot of windows and I am looking for a NON-shiny screen on a TV. Does this TV have the very shiny highly reflective screen or is it more muted?

Answer:
I do not feel it has anti-reflective screen - but it is not very glossy either. I have windows in the back of my bonus room and it does not affect the viewing quality.

Answer:
Yes it does. I have three large windows that face west. I had to shut down the shade to eliminate the reflection off the window.

I often push the info button and It shows me current resolution and refresh rate. Resolution changes depending on channel as I expected but I have never seen the refresh rate above 60hz. It doesn't matter if I watching a Blu-ray movie or cable tv. I've search and adjusted any setting I thought relevant to picture quality with no success. How can I turn on the 120hz???

Answer:
Some manufacturers "fudge" refresh with a "fake" refresh setting. So, with LG you can sorta increase the feeling of a faster refresh with their "TruMotion" setting.

Here's a good article that explains this:

Answer:
I had the same question. All information on the set was sketchy at best. I believe the set was an actual 60 hz that was mistakenly advertised as 120 hz. Can't prove it but LG info indicates it is.

Answer:
If I remember correctly it was longer than actual TV by 12 to 15 inches. Height add 4 to 6 inches. The box was huge. Had to rent a van to take home.

Good Luck.........

Answer:
Hit blue "Smart Tab" located middle of TV remote.
Arrow down to setting. Hit tab. Located bottom row.
Arrow to "Picture Mode". Hit OK tab on TV remote.

I like standard mode. If you arrow up or down to different settings; you will see different brightness on side of TV picture. There is 3 or 4 different settings. This will take care of dark color(s).

Good Luck.........

We were sold a 60 inch. LG smart tv and they recommended we also purchase the almost $300 calibration pkg. that the Geek squad would do which we did. When I went online to check out reviews and info about our new tv it said that it self calibrates so were we just ripped off?

Answer:
No way. You may need a little setup help you are a typical, non-technical buyer but not $300 worth. Maybe a $50 or so set up would be sensible.

Answer:
Depends on what you got for your $300.00 bucks. If all they did was "calibrate" it for picture quality, the extra cost wasn't necessary. If they unpacked and set it up, or wall mounted it, wired it, configured and connected other devices or connected it to your internet, it was worth it. I'm a tech support guy in another industry and have extensive "handyman" skills and spent about 10 hours for a quality install, connection and configuration. If you don't have these skills and you got a quality install, it's worth the cost.
