We had purchase a the best TV ever about 10 years ago - it was the pinnacle of technology and every conceivable feature. When it stopped and the repairs cost where far more than any new TV out there we started to shop. We needed big and better and we found that in LG's 60PX950.
Although not the most features rich it offers the best image quality. It does the job it was designed to do and does it very well. We have found that having all the bells and whistles means increased cost and it not typically the best in any one area as the product lack focus. That is not the case here the 60PX950 is first and far most a stunning display with its THX Certified Display.
The icing on the cake is the 3D capabilities. We purchase two glasses. In a family of 5 I only wish the prices where cheap on those and they came in a very small kids size. I hope wider adoption of the 3D line will bring down the prices of the glasses to ~$50. I know, I can hope.
The TV also comes with a Magic Motion Remote (a Wii type of controller) and a few built in games. I really like the simplistic nature of the Magic Motion Remote for regular TV viewing but as we already have a Wii I could have done with out the games. Although my kids really loves them - now if they where in 3D that would be very interesting.
The wireless feature works good. I wish it supported more formats as I stream all sorts of data around the house.
The last item I would like to comment on is the sound quality. Even though I have an impressive home theater audio setup I had to give the built in speakers a go. I was surprised at how good the audio quality was. If I had to use just the TVs built in speakers I would not be disappointed.
The wife adds that the aesthetics looks really good (IE Looks very good hanging on the wall).
I am happy with the purchase. the 60PX950 is for me the best display for the money - great value.
