What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing picture quality After doing lots of research and even purchasing a larger 4K tv, I was shown the LG OLED tv. The picture quality blew away everything else I had looked it. It is simply amazing. The images pop off the screen. The only thing that compares are much more expensive models, and they don't look any better than the LG. Would definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TV I have ever owned Pros: Great Picture Great smart TV os The magic remote is the best remote I have personally used. Cons: Glossy screen causes glare issues sometimes Some apps are missing from webos that I have come to expect from multimedia systems, such as sports apps including Fox, Cbs, and ESPN.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best quality picture I recently purchase LG Oled tv after over a month of research. Nothing comes close to 3 dimensional look of OLED display. Quality is as great as at the movie theater. With good surround system you are totally immerse in 4K experience. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute best quality and value! I just got my B7A a couple days ago and I'm very impressed. The image quality is the same as the more expensive models, and I don't need the fancy speakers because I have a home theater system. With the recent firmware update, my TV will pass True-HD/Atmos through to my receiver from apps that support it. That's all I ever wished for, as any other TV I know won't do that. If you're thinking about buying one, I totally recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best tv I’ve ever owned. Omg. It’s amazing. It’s like watching real life through a box. I have been holding out on 4K for one of these and finally saved up enough money to bite during Black Friday season. I am blown away. So much better than I imagined.

Just got 55B7A. I want to hook to a Sonos soundbar. It is optical only via toslink, to get DolbyDigital 5.1 only. Will this TV allow DD signals to pass through the optical connector? Many TV's do not allow this and I cannot find this in specs.

Asked by: Multifuel
If the incoming signal is a Dolby Digital signal, then the Digital Sound Output through the Optical Digital Audio Output or HDMI ARC (to a unit that also supports ARC functionality) will also be Dolby Digital. The Digital Sound Out settings can be configured on the OLED55B7A when an Audio Out (Optical/HDMI ARC)/Internal TV Speaker + Audio Out (Optical) is selected (Sound > Sound Out > Audio Out (Optical/HDMI ARC) Digital Sound Out). ^AC

What is the difference in tuner A or tuner P as designated by the last letter The LG OLED B7A is offered here, yet retailers in the Detroit metro area offer the B7P, or as advertised only B7

Asked by: TomE333
The B7P and B7A series OLEDS have the same built-in tuners, an ATSC tuner, an NTSC tuner and a QAM tuner. They have the same design with the only difference being that the B7P series OLEDs have a built-in Dolby Atmos decoder and the B7A series does not have one, but it does have Dolby Atmos passthrough. ^AC

Will this output Dolby 5.1 via Optical?

Asked by: DJDJ
The Optical Digital Audio Output passes uncompressed Dolby Digital, if the Sound Input is Dolby Digital. If the Sound Input is Dolby Digital Plus or Atmos, the Optical Digital Audio Output will be Dolby Digital and HDMI ARC will pass through either Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby Atmos. ^AC

Which version of HDMI does the B7A/P support? Is DD+/Atmos/DTS-HD passed thru as DD/DTS (640 kpbs) over HDMI ARC and Optical? Can the B7A/P pass higher bandwidth audio thru a non-ARC HDMI output or over Enhanced ARC (2.0a/2.1) now or via future update?

Asked by: soundchaser
The OLED65B7P has a built-in Dolby Atmos decoder and will pass it through HDMI ARC but not Optical. The B7A does not have a Dolby Atmos decoder but has Dolby Atmos passthrough. ^AC

I used an hdmi adapter to connect my original wii, which supports up to 480p. I get sound but no video. Works fine on other tvs. Do i need to change a setting to make 480p show up, or will it not support my wii?

Asked by: tacocat
I ran into this same problem. You have to change the Wii settings to 480i before it'll pass through video to HDMI.
