Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Picture, OLED is finally ready I have been a plasma person for over 10 years having owned at least 5 plasma TVs. They were the pinnacle of picture quality for a good home theater. When Plasma died OLED was the new up and coming technology to replace plasma, but it had some teething issues, from panel uniformity, vignetting, less bright than LCD and shorter panel life. LG has been committed to OLED and each year made incremental improvements and with the 2017 models OLED is finally there. Steady improvements have meant longer panel life, better brightness and while there are still some isolated incidents of uniformity and vignetting it is greatly improved. I must say out of the box in ISF Dark room the picture is stunning. It definitely needs a professional calibration to bring the best out, but is amazing from the factory. HDR and true blacks just bring all content to life in a way that was not possible before. I was tempted by the 2016 models at Black Friday, but resisted, and am glad I did. The price point starts high each model year and then quickly comes done. The price has dropped over 25% in the last 6 weeks and I suspect holidays will see further bargain. Life is too short with the latest drops I pulled the trigger and am glad I did. The online negative for those not wall mounting is the very refective silver base, but I fixed that by placing some non-reflective clots over it and now the picture just appears to hover in mid air when the lights are out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Picture for a Decent Price So far I am pretty happy with it. I won't know till I finally get the unit calibrated with Calman; just waiting for the break-in period. It's well known the blue OLED to fade much faster than the other diodes, so I might as well wait for it to fade a bit. As of now I can't give review on how it looks, since by factory it is set so the color pops, super bright...etc. But what I can comment is a problem I have encounter while watching Amazon Prime. I have this TV hooked to an AV Receiver via HDMI/ARC. Since I have a full 7.1.2 setup. When playing the show 'Le Mans: Racing is Everything', the audio would just pop/crackle/tick. This is usually because it is playing a wrongly identify mix. Going in to the Sound Setting and changing it from "Auto" to "PCM" fixed it, however it was only a 2.0 PCM Playback. I have played this same show on another Samsung TV to the same AV Receiver flawlessly. I believe the "Auto" didn't pick up the track information correctly. I have reported to LG, but from what I have read on other forums they are usually fell of deaf ears. The next issue I have is that the lack of information if the TV will pass Atmos (DD+) via ARC back to the AV Receiver. People who do buy the C7P probably have a much better surround setup, since C7P -> E,G,W7P major difference is the soundbar. Why this matters? 1) VUDU. If you rent/buy from VUDU there are now Atmos movies. If it doesn't support Atmos from the LG's Vudu App, you end up having to go get another STB. 2) Yesterday Netflix also announced Atmos audio stream. Again if it only play through the built-in speaker it leaves so much to desire for real Atmos setups. That is it for the 1 day review. If I come across anything else I will post another review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best blacks ever I've owned the tv for about 4 months now so we've gotten to know each other. The software is great and the user interface with the smart remote is easy. I admit, I haven't read all the instructions and my son had found many very cool features like the magnifying block that he puts over the strike zone in baseball games. Last weekend we watched Star Wars Rogue 1. Turned off all the lights in the apartment and the screen was a black aS the room when looking into space. I've never seen a tv that could be that black then be a bright as it was with the destruction of skarif. It's not cheap but it will be a long time before anything exceeds this performance. You only live once, why not enjoy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The picture quality is the best I've ever seen I'm rather fussy when it comes to my tv picture quality. How good is this? Let me just say that until a tv is made with a virtual reality picture that one can enter, my search for the perfect picture ends here with the c7 (2017)model. I went to vudu and watched the 1st Pirates of the Caribbean with the picture setting on sports. I could not stop raving about the picture. Mind you this is an older movie and not in 4k. Just the better than average hdx that vudu uses. It was like the actors were moving right in front of me. On Amazon I've used the hdr effect for Star Trek Beyond in HD. Not the almost 3D effect of vudu's hdx but still best picture I've ever seen in HD. Picture mode and every other setting super easy to use. This smart tv is worth every dime of the slightly higher cost.

Does this model happen to come with appropriate mounting screws?  Or does that come with the mount exclusively?  I have a stand with a mount built in, but did not keep any screws besides the ones that fit my TV in 2012.
