What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The picture feels like your there in the scene We have been pleased with our tv since we unloaded it out of the truck & brought it in the house. For it being so big it's so light to carry. We hooked it up & it started telling us exactly what we needed to do. The picture & the sound is amazing. We're so happy we purchased this tv.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV We've had this TV for a month and used it modestly but so far it is impressive. The outstanding picture quality and wide viewing angle are wonderful. The remote-interface is so flexible that we decided not to use our universal remote. The interface makes it easy to move between broadcast TV, Netflix and other web apps, blue ray player and Dish. The audio receiver, which drives our sound system, comes on when the TV is turned on. We do need to use the remote for the Dish receiver to access the guide and other features. It may be we have just not figured out how to do it with the TV remote.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding picture quality I purchased the tv a couple of weeks ago and it's absolutely amazing! I was hesitant and first because of the reviews I read said the oled TV gets burn in or imagine retention. Have not experience either of those. I also got best buys geek squad insurance so if that does happen I'm covered. Outstanding picture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Picture Quality & convenient features I bought this Television about one month ago. I upgraded from a standard LCD 40" flat panel. The difference is Night & Day! The display on my new LG set is so amazingly crisp and clear, it is unfair to compare to older technologies. Talk about thin... The display is so thin (about 1/4"), the set is appealing even when it is off. I really like the ability to receive internet programming in addition to the over the air channels I receive. The controls are easy to navigate with the smart remote and are pretty much intuitive from the moment you start using the television. I am now experiencing a new level of viewing, especially with 4K content. It is a level of realism that is hard to describe, you just have to see it in person to appreciate it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Great I've had this about 6 months now and all I can say is that it is very impressive. I use it for my Xbox one X and PS4 pro and it looks beautiful and very happy to get what I pay for.sure you can always find something that they could have done better but it sole purpose is enjoying the picture and they got that part done right. I have my own custom picture saved and I also use expert mode and can use that as a basis for my picture qu ality or to just use for my ECT. LG makes great products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning! This TV is stunning in every way. The rich deep blacks surpass the high end plasma this TV replaced. There are an ample amount of settings for any room viewing condition. A multitude of audio and features built-in to give you the ultimate viewing and listening experience. And, I haven't even fed into all this TV can handle yet! A surprising added bonus is Channel Plus, the free channels you can receive. There are over 100 now and they keep adding more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great TV; Not So Great "Magic" Remote So I've had this TV for about 3 weeks now. The picture is super crisp when viewing 4K content from Netflix or whatever else broadcasts 4K now. When viewing regular HD content it's hard to tell the difference from my previous TV (which was HD but not 4K) even though this one advertises 4K up scaling for non-4K content. There are a ridiculous amount of features on this thing. One in particular is the picture settings. There are 7 or 8 different "templates" or picture modes that you can modify and save. "Sports", "Cinema" "Light Room", "Dark Room" and probably 4 more. The idea being you can customize your picture based on what you're watching. It's almost too much. I've done a lot of tinkering and have yet to get the picture as good as they have it in the store but I suspect that has more to do with the made-for-display content that is super vivid and detailed in the store. Now for the magic remote. I probably should have started here and if your still reading pay attention. This is a horrible remote. It doesn't have a traditional FF or RW so you have to skip ahead or backwards by varying segments of time depending on if you're watching live TV, your DVR, Netflix or what have you. It's annoying and if you want to back up or fast forward just a little bit you have to use your cable remote which is super annoying considering how much they tout this a universal remote. I emailed LG b/c I just couldn't believe there wasn't a way to move forward or back without jumping by segments of time. They responded with that feature wasn't built into the remote. Also the buttons have to be pressed with a slight pause in between or it wont take. For instance you cant press 5-6-2 real quick or the 6 gets missed. And there's a ridiculous amount of menus/ways to get to mostly the same thing, it's not very intuitive and it's a ton to remember. In general there seems to be a lot more button pressing to do simple things than on my cable remote. Oh yeah - there's the most basic of manuals included to figure it out so good luck. The last thing I would call this is a "Magic Remote" All that being said this TV is a massive upgrade over my last one and the picture is super crisp as long as your Wi-Fi signal and speed is good. The addition of Netflix and Amazon Prime makes me question whether I'll re-up with my Fios cable when my current promotion ends. Maybe I'll get used to all the stuff mentioned above.

What is the distance between the bottom bezel and the bottom of the stand? I'm adding a soundbar and if I place a soundbar just in front of the TV stand, I don't want the soundbar to intrude into the picture.

Can this tv passthru a dolby atmos/truehd sginal from a uhd blu ray player, thru ARC to a connected external source (i.e. a dolby atmos AVR)?

Asked by: HTGuy
Ok there is an update for this tv that says it will accept dolby true hd signal (lossless audio)over hdmi. Can the tv then pass the same signal (bitstream) to an avr to be decoded? I guess more specifically does this update give the tv the ability of eARC?

I'm thinking of buying this tv but have i major question. Does the Dobly Atmos sound, sound super better then having a normal 7.1 LG Surround Sound soundbar?

Asked by: Frozen25
The Dolby Atmos system places speakers above the audience to create a 3D aural experience. But it’s more than just shoving a few speakers in the ceiling. The actual Atmos system lets film makers place sound elements in a 3D space. With 5.1 and 7.1 systems, when you want to create the illusion that someone is behind the audience you just throw that sound to those speakers. It’s a speaker based system. With Atmos, instead of pushing a sound to a particular speaker, it’s pushed to a place in a 3D space. For example, to create the illusion of a helicopter flying overhead the sound engineering doesn’t pick which speaker the sound of the helicopter will come out of. Instead, the engineer picks a point in a 3D space and the Atmos system automatically adjusts the sound coming of the appropriate speaker. The result is an audio experience that pulls the sound up from the ear-level speakers of 7.1 and 5.1 systems. With Atmos it sounds like water is falling on a canopy above you in a scene with a storm. When something goes whizzing by your ears it “feels” like it’s actually happening in your room...^IFV

How can we learn where the screen saver pictures are?  They are beautiful. Are the city drone views computer animations?

Asked by: Ellen Ann
Hi Ellen Ann. Regrettably, we do not have access to information about where the pictures for the screen savers used on the LG C7 OLED 4K HDR Smart TV - 55" Class (54.6" Diag), Model # OLED55C7P or any of our TVs were taken. I was able to find one of the pictures through a search on Google images. Our Support Representatives at our Support Center may be able to assist you with the requested information...^IFV
