Great Vacuum!
Date:September 18, 2011
Best Features: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
"We have been searching for a vacuum for two months and actually returned two other highly rated vacuums before finding the LUV400T. This was the keeper. Ease of assembly, great features such as click & go, and the power are great. We really like the way this vacuum handles and the amount of accessories for different cleaning areas is super. I would highly recommend this vacuum to anyone. Great product - thanks LG!"

Great vacuum!
Date:July 15, 2011
Best Features: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, quiet, hepa filter
"Before, I decided to purchase an LG Kompressor LUV400T vacuum, I did a lot of research. Most of the reviews I read have been very positive. I have also been pleased with other LG products I have in my house, and I decided I would get this vacuum as a result. Anyway, I just got my vacuum about a month ago. I know it is extremely early to write a review for a product that I have just received, but I will update this at a later time. I also want to describe the whole process of setting it up, while it is fresh in my head, for anyone considering buying a vacuum. The vacuum comes more or less completely assembled and ready to use right out of the box. The only attachments that have to get connected are the hose and cleaning wand/handle assembly. It took about five minutes for me to unwrap the parts and get everything all hooked up. The directions were really easy to follow, and they allow for you to get the vacuum up and running in no time. No tools were required for the setup process. My initial impression is that all of the parts have a quality build and feel to them. Hopefully, that will be a sign of a reliable vacuum.
I feel the best way for me to write a review is to explain the circumstances in how I use the product. I have an older cape cod style house. Most of the rooms in my house are finished with a medium pile carpet including my stairs. My bathrooms and kitchen are ceramic tile. I also have two miniature Australian shepherds (which shed a ton and have long hair) and two short haired cats that also shed. I have to vacuum on a regular basis to keep my carpets cleaned. After I assembled my vacuum, I put it to the test. I adjusted the height of the vacuum based on the pile height of my carpet. It is a simple foot lever that cycles between the different 4 different settings on the vacuum (Low to Medium Low to Medium to High back to Low). The first thing I noticed when I started the vacuum is how quiet it is. More importantly, the vacuum did a great job at picking up hair and dirt from my carpets. I was truly impressed! I used the hose and air brush attachment to clean my carpeted stairs. The air tool worked great for that! I was able to leave my vacuum at the bottom of my steps and use the hose to reach all the way to the top. The handle becomes part of the wand tool, and it has all of the control buttons needed to run the vacuum remotely (power, suction power level, brush roll power). While I am on the subject of reach, the power cord is ridiculously long. I was able to do my entire house without unplugging the vacuum. Granted, I had to fully extend the air hose and use the pet tool to do an upstairs room. The dirt compression feature is really nice. I had a hard time judging how much stuff my vacuum picked up until I emptied it. The vacuum is really easy to empty. The vacuum has a rinse-able HEPA filter, and it comes with a spare rinse-able pre-filter. The major con I have so far is that the vacuum is heavy. My fiance' might have a hard time using it. A smaller con is that the vacuum needs two "AAA" batteries to control all of its functions. However, the vacuum can still be powered on if the batteries are not installed/dead."

Much better than the Dyson
Date:May 1, 2011
Best Features: dirt compressor, attachments, variable sucking power
Cons: LED lights, inflexible crevice tool
"Like many others, I too, fell for the Dyson marketing. After too many frustrations with the Dyson DC33, I tried this LG. Wow, what a difference. First, this LG has a "carpet height" control. The Dyson didn't and as a result, didn't clean nearly as well. The Dyson really felt flimsy with plastic that feels like it's brittle. The LG is plastic also, but doesn't feel nearly as cheap. .
What I love about it:
1) Rotating brush tool - Other things I like about this vacuum is the rotating brush tool. It really works great on pet hairs on the couch.
2) The “dirt compressor” - The Dyson canister fills up quickly. The LG "compresses" the dirt so that when you empty it, there's significantly less "puffing of dust" that occurs. I really like this feature.
3) The mattress tool - It’s also pretty nasty seeing what the mattress tool picks up. It makes you want to stick the mattress into the washing machine if you could.
4) 40 foot cord
5) The high, medium, low suction control and brush/floor control on the wand. The wand coil tubes extend 15 feet so you don’t have to go back to the base unit especially if you are doing stairs.
6) The wand coil tubes extend 15 feet.
7) The wand coil “neatly” tucks away and is secured with a magnet – clever!
8) The carpet height control
9) Surprisingly quiet
The items that I don’t like about this are:
1) The LED lights are pretty much useless
2) When you use the wand, you will need to remove the rotating tool if you want to just vacuum the corners of the floor and then maybe attach the crevice tool. Instead of it being a two step process where you “pull the wand and attach the crevice tool” it ends up being a 3 step process where you also need to remove the rotating tool attachment. The Dyson is better on this one.
3) The crevice tool needs to be flexible.

When you consider what an LG KOMPRESSOR® Vacuum is capable of next to a traditional vacuum, the difference is night and day. KOMPRESSOR® technology means no more messy vacuum bags or having to empty them constantly. Stubborn debris no longer seems so stubborn with DualForce+™ suction. This is way more than a vacuum. See for yourself.
