Rated 4 out of 5 by Madpotato Very Usefull Machine
This is one of the best purchases I have made this year. The drying time does take a little getting use to but the cleaning is wonderful. I needed a machine because i like most hated going to the laundrymat. But living in an apartment there was no place for a washer and dryer. So found this little producty selling fit the bill. I'm in laundry heaven fresh clean clothes everyday no laundrymat.
For all those saying you have to wait for the Cd to go away to open the door, No You Don't...Here is a trick i have learned when you see the Cd on the display just press the Start/pause button wait for the click, then take your clothes out.
Also i have gotten use to having a rag nearby to clean around the rubber seal only takes 30 - 45 seconds

Rated 1 out of 5 by Frustrated Don't buy this
Just moved into an apartment with this washer/dryer combo unit. It is so small you can only wash a days worth of clothes. So you have to wash everyday. But you can't wash everyday because it takes two days to dry your clothes. My first load was a towel, two boxer shorts, a shirt, and 4 socks. 2 days later I am still trying to dry my clothes. The pants I took out of the washer and hung up are dryer than the stuff I left in the machine. I have been waiting for 4 hours for this stuff to dry and it's just as wet as before. Don't waste your money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jeff_in_T.O. Excellent machine with important limitations
This unit has been the perfect solution for our situation: an urban couple in a tiny apartment (who absolutely HATE the laundry-mat!!), with no basement access to setup a traditional washer /dryer pair.
Important note: if you like to dry all your clothes in the machine (i.e. not hang them up to air dry) you will NOT be happy with this condenser dryer. You can only dry a few items at a time, and it will take about an hour and a half. As well, the rubber gasket that seals the door will impart a slight odour to the dried items until it has been used a while. We don't use fabric softener or strong smelling detergent so your results may vary.
The last drawback is that it is pricey. However, we have owned it for 5 years, probably running it 5 days out of seven, and it has been rock solid, with only 1 self-repair needed. After 4 years of light use of the dryer function, the clothes started coming out damp. Googling the problem, I was able to easily take it apart and clean the accumulated lint out of the condenser tube with a long bottle washer. Voila- back to normal, and still perfect a year later.
Replacement parts seem to be reasonably priced from third party vendors to boot. If you're handy, you should be able to keep it running for a good long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LaundryMan Best purchase that I have made in a long time.
I own the LG washer/dryer combo without regrets. It is quiet, doesn't take up much space, and gets the job done. I used to hate going to the laundry room or the laundry mat so much that I avoided it until I ran out of underwear. Now I look forward to washing in my LG washer/dryer combo, and my clothes do not pile up as they did in the past. I also live in an apartment that doesn't have a washer/dryer hook up in my unit. I simply connect the hose to the faucet, load the machine, add the detergent, and go on about my business. No longer do I have to go up and down the stairs, hauling laundry, or worrying about some stranger stealing my clothes from the dryer. My LG is convenient, safe, and dependable. I recommend it to anyone who live in a small home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by vince_b Set it and forget it.
This is a awesome contraption. You put the clothes in set it and leave. Come back about 3 hours later and you are done. If you want fast its not for you, but if you are like me I have all day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dog owner Perfect for small Brooklyn Apartment
I bought this machine used on a website and I've had it for 2.5 years and it's still working perfectly. There are 3 people using it and we have 2 dogs, easily doing a load every other day at the least. As long as you don't overload it, the dry feature works great even though it does take a little longer. But with a washer/dryer in one, you save some time/effort of having to wait around and transfer the load to a dryer. All the features work great and are quite useful. I would recommend using a HE LIQUID detergent though. I've had issues with other 2 in 1 washer/dryer combos not being able to handle powder detergent. We've used powder a couple of times but luckily, our machine is still working beautifully. I highly recommend this product! I don't know about the other brands, but LG really proved their quality in this machine!

Rated 1 out of 5 by foxroach this product is difficult to maintain
The drain hose is difficult to replace. My drain hose split and I ordered a replacement hose. We paid extra for faster delivery. When the hose arrived my husband and I tilted the washing machine a little forward thinking the hose would unscrew. What we realized was the-hose in internally installed and you have to take the back off the machine in order to replace the hose. nowhere in the instruction booklet is this mentioned. The parts department didn't mention when we ordered the part. We are not mechanics so now we have to have an expensive home visit from a mechanic.
