Answer:
To clean the lint from the drain line is a service call. You will know when it's time to make the call when the machine stops drying your clothes . . . Mine has been twice a year for the last two years. The machine has to have its top and part of the back taken off, the drain hose unhooked, the heat sensor unhooked, the blower case taken out, and the lint trap taken out. THEN the lint can be cleaned out of the plastic lint "trap".

Answer:
See: Care and Cleaning in Manual under Maintenance for Cleaning the Drain Pump Filter.
Lint and other objects may accumulate and clog the drain pump filter. If the washer fails to drain properly, unplug the washer and allow the water to cool, if necessary, before proceeding.

Answer:
Hello and thank you for contacting us. I would be happy to advised on how to clean the Coin Catch Filter:

1. Open the lower cover cap located on the lower, front panel of the unit. Turn the drain plug to pull out the hose.

2. Unplug the drain plug, allowing the water to flow out. At this time use a vessel to prevent water from flowing onto the floor. When water does not flow any more, turn the pump filter, open to the left.

3. Remove any foreign objects from the pump filter. After cleaning, turn the pump filter clockwise and insert the drain plug to the original place. Close the lower cover cap.

I am interested in purchasing this unit but if the unit cannot run a DRY program without having to run a wash first then it is not a very practical appliance. Please be more specific in your answer on how this is done. thank you!

Answer:
Thanks for the other folks who answered that the machine can dry only if desired.

I'm a little slow and had trouble. So here is the trick. Turn it on. Then ignore the wash setting indicator. Adjust the dry dial. The wash setting will now default to the cotton/normal setting but don't worry - it doesn't actually wash the clothes again. Push the start and it spins and dries the clothing.

Answer:
Hi! Yes! You can run the DRY program by choosing only the dryer options without setting any of the wash options.

I have found that I occasionally have to put heavier items back in for a few minutes, and I have no problem!

can liquid bleach be used in this washer

brand new unit. So far it performs better than what we ever expected. Am used to adding bleach with white clothing. No indication in manual or dispenser to be able to do this. Any ideas?

Answer:
The automatic dispenser consists of four compartments which hold:
• Liquid fabric softener.
• Liquid or powdered detergent for prewash.
• Liquid or powdered detergent and color-safe bleach for main wash.

All laundry products can be added at once in their respective dispenser compartments. They will be dispensed at the appropriate time for the most effective cleaning. It is normal for a small amount of water to remain in the dispenser compartments at the end of the cycle.

Either powdered or liquid detergent may be used. Liquid detergent will drain into the washer drum as it is added. Liquid or powdered color-safe bleach may be added to the main wash compartment with detergent of the same type.

LG's all-in-one washer and dryer combo does it all in just one machine. It's great for those who want to be able to do laundry at home but do not have an external venting source which conventional dryers require. Perfect for homes, apartments, businesses and vacation homes where space is valuable.

Disclaimer: Dry times will take longer than conventional vented dryer.
