What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Have had ten years with almost no issues you purchase this combo because you have no vent to the outside. Otherwise, buy a regular washer and dryer. That said, if you have no vent this is a terrific alternative to the laundromat. It isn't perfect: the load you can put in is very small. If you put in a small load your wash/dry can be finished in two hours. First:small load. Second: speed wash. Third: regular dry. Fourth: stop the dry after 1 3/4 hours of total operation. Wait for five minutes and take your clothes out. They will be dry enough unless you are living in south Florida or somewhere humid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it, miss it!! We sold our house with this "all-in-one" washer in it, as the new owners wanted the washer, and even checked to see if it was still there and the right one during the handover. Now I miss the ease of putting my clothes in at night and having them washed AND dried by morning. Nice to have the steam feature to take the wrinkles out of my white shirts too. Plugs into an ordinary 120volt outlet, and uses a fraction of electricity of the others. I miss the machine and now I can't find another!! Note: when I installed it, I had to put it on a concrete slab to ensure that it was quiet when at high spin. Well worth it. Amazing machine and great technology.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Less Than Good- Buy a Different Machine I regret purchasing this machine. It's not quiet as other reviews mention. Does not clean cloths well. Takes an unreasonable amount of time for a small load, and no lint trap, leaving it all over the cloths.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from quite No noise, love it , if it's not broken why fix it. Great cleaning power.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wrinkles I have a lot of LG products(TV, microwave, washer, dryer). They usually have a good dependable product, but my wife is very disappointed with this product. All of the clothes come our wrinkled, and she does use fabric softener. If I could trade it in I would get the stackable washer/dryer for the apartment that we're going to move into. The LG washer and dryer that we had, she loved. She is not pleased with the length of time that it take to do a load of clothes. When doing a large load (a set of king size sheets and pillow cases) the washing and drying spin cycle is very noisy from the vibration..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME PRODUCT This compact, durable, and efficient machine fits well in my small laundry closet, where I opted to have one machine versus two or even the bulky and awkward "stacking" combo machines. The machine is pricey but provides a good investment when considering the energy expense of running it year round. I echo other reviewers' recommendation to read the manual carefully to take most advantage of the nice features. This kind of dryer seems to take a bit longer than the vented kind to finish drying laundry. LG provides helpful customer support on their website. Overall excellent product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent cleaning capacity This little washer/dryer combo does a great job in getting clothes/linens clean. It takes up such little space and really does a great job. After clothes are dried, they definitely feel damp, but once you shake them out a few times the humidity goes away and they are much drier than they initially seem. I hang dry most of my clothing, so we use the dryer mostly for towels, sheets, and my husbands t-shirts. I highly recommend!

Where is the lint filter located?

I can't find the lint filter, and I've never known a dryer or washer not to have one ??
Asked by: Suez
We appreciate your interest in this washer / dryer combination unit. The LG combination laundry machines are designed to operate in such a manner as to greatly reduce the amount of lint generated from the clothing. Any lint that is produced in this machine is of such a small amount as to be rinsed away, and through the drain system.

Asked by: cocoberry052211
We regret to read that you're having issues with your LG 24" Compact Washer / Dryer Combo, Model # WM3455HS. If the unit is not draining or spinning, you may have drain restriction problems or an unbalanced load. Look for any error codes on the display that you might be able to troubleshoot. If not, your machine probably needs a repair service and you can contact the LG Customer Interactive Center at (800) 243-0000 to schedule one...^IFV

Do I need to use "bounce" sheets during the dry process?

Asked by: Aleja
The need to use "bounce" sheets during the dry process is not a dryer requirement on the LG 24" Compact Washer / Dryer Combo, Model # WM3455HS, that is entirely your decision or whether or not to use them just like whether you should add fabric softener or not or what brand of detergent to use in the machine...^IFV

WM3455HW & WM3455HS

The bottomof the opening to the laundry compartment appears to be less than 15", and closer to 13". Since these will be going in ADA units, what options do we have other than raising the floor? Are there any replacement leg pieces available?
Asked by: MattBrittan
Hi MattBrittan, regrettably, there aren't any replaceable leg pieces that are available for the LG 24" Compact Washer / Dryer Combo, Model # WM3455HW. You may want to look at the WM3570HWA/HVA or the WM4270HWA/HVA washers. Those are ADA compliant units...^IFV

Can you wash and dry a down coat?

Can you dry it with tennis balls in the dry cycle?
Asked by: kittywitty
Hello kittywitty. Thank you for your inquiry. While you can wash most garments in the LG 24" Compact Washer / Dryer Combo, Model # WM3455HW, the care instructions attached to the garment on the care label will give you the best advice on how to launder the garment and you should refer to that label. Some people often use tennis balls for their comforters, but again, these are not recommendations given by the washers manufacturer, for that you would need to use your own discretion...^IFV

My machine shakes violently during the spin cycle

I recently purchased the washer/dryer for my new home in Queretaro Mexico. during the installation I ensured that all feet were well adjusted and the machine is level. Although when it goes into the spin cycle it shakes violently, moving all around and banging the walls. I really need someone to come to my home and fix properly. I think something is wrong on the inside, I have had the machine 4 weeks, purchased from SAMS.
Asked by: Michael, EXPAT in Queretaro
I also purchased this one month ago for my new condo in Newport RI. The first one they delivered to me was shaking like crazy during the spin cycle. We had an LG Technician come to look at it and he said that the "drive shaft" was bent. We had only used it a half dozen times trying each time to adjust the feet, the size load...we even bought rubber "silent feet" to got under it but nothing worked. So, yesterday they delivered us a new machine. Today, I did my first load...SAME PROBLEM! The vibration is so bad I stopped it ,,,,couldn't finish washing the clothes.

What does the dHE error code mean?

The clothes are still wet
Asked by: johnjohn1950
The "dHE" error refers to the water supply. You would need to make sure the tap is on. If that is OK, unplug the unit and leave it unplugged for thirty minutes and then plug it back in. If this does not eradicate the issue, you may need service.
