"It's better even than I thought it would be. It is a very high-level machine, beautifully designed. It has made doing laundry a pleasure. If you follow the directions, you get excellent results. The main thing is that if you're running both a wash and dry cycle, then you can't cram the machine: all dryers need fluff room. If you fill it half full or a little more, it will work beautifully, with almost no wrinkling. (And the machine will continue to fluff the laundry for 4 hours after it's done to prevent wrinkling.) Even half full, it will hold a lot, like a full set of sheets and towels. When you start it, it weighs the laundry and tells you approximately how long the entire cycle will take. You can also delay the start so that it will finish at a convenient time, like as you get home from work. It will also do hand wash and woolens in special cycles. If you want to just run a dry cycle, don't select any wash options; just press the dry button for the cycle you want, and if you don't want it to spin first, select no spin. The machine uses very little water, so perfect for buildings that don't allow washing machines (those rules are aimed at the old top loaders that used 30 gallons of water and flooded narrow drain pipes). I actually prefer this machine to separate washer and dryer combos: it's easier, more convenient, you don't have to move the wet clothes, and the clothes come out softer and fresher than from normal dryers. You put the dirty clothes in, and when it chimes its little song, you take the clean clothes out and put them away. A normal wash and dry cycle takes about two hours, but the clothes might be a little damp still (if you put them out they dry in a few minutes). If you want them dryer, just select "More Dry"; it will take longer, but they'll be really dry. The machine is heavy, and does require a solid floor (it spins amazingly fast). But on a solid level floor, it has no vibration and it's very quiet."

"However, once I figured out how to best use it, I do feel that this is an darn good product. I only give it 4 stars because there are some compromises I had to make to live with the machine. My top complaint is the drying process. I have to run heavier items thru a 2nd dry cycle to achieve dryness. Most items come out feeling damp, but like a dishwasher they evaporate dry fairly quickly. This is my 2nd reservation: I have to find places to drape my laundry til it dries. My 3rd reservation is that although there is almost no machine vibration during spin cycles (wow), the outer door rattles loudly. (It seems to be loosely set.) However, the convenience of having a main floor laundry with a space cost of only half a small closet far outweighs these consideration. Also, putting the laundry in before going to work and coming home to dry clothes without running up and down stairs is so sweet. Sometimes my laundry would languish for days waiting for me to remember it back in the old days! Now it is in my face and ready to fold."

Best Features: easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, ventless, uses 110v!!!
"Great washing results, while using little water. The drying is surprisingly effective. The whole cycle may take 5 hours or more, so one should use it when time is of no importance. If one needs a faster drying time, and has a place for a separate dryer, one SHOULD NOT BUY THIS UNIT! This unit was designed SPECIFICALLY for people who have no room for 2 units and cannot run a vent."

"I would give this 5 stars but for several fairly minor design flaws.
The best thing about it is never having to switch clothes from the washer to dryer - and that is a great great convenience. Even when it doesn't get things as dry as I want and I have to add more time, that's really no big deal. It takes a bit of time to learn how to program it and the manual could be alot better about this. But normal loads seem to take about 2 to 2-1/2 hours and that's not really all that much longer than my old separate washer and dryer. Just set it and forget it.
The design flaws: the 30/60/90/120 timed drying isn't flexible enough. Sometimes it just needs another 10 or 20 mins. And sometimes it needs 180 minutes if it's all t-shirts. I'm getting the hang (after 6 months) of the More drying setting and that's working well.
The others who say you just take things out and while they feel damp, just shake them, are amazingly right - many many times clothes just need to be put out on a table or bed for 10 mins and they're completely dry.
It is definitely gentler than other machines.
I'm not so sure it saves as much energy as people say it does, but it certainly uses a very minimal amount of water. I can say that I had to do something like 40 loads of laundry to catch up after my old machines broke down and I couldn't get the install for a while (long story). And that 40 loads didn't increase my electric bill as far as I could tell - nor did it decrease it. The Energy Star rating that says it only uses something like $10 a year is only for the washer; dryers don't get rated by Energy Star.
All in all - a great great concept, very well though not perfectly executed. Oh - and I now have half a closet back because I don't need a separate dryer. Love the extra space!
One more thing - it does make a lot of noise during drying - it sucks out water ever 90 secs or so. Wish they could do something about that sound. Not good if you have to sleep near it (I don't)."
This combination washer / dryer is perfect if you don't have an external venting source, which conventional dryers require, and it runs on standard voltage electricity. Although it is a space-efficient laundry solution, ideal for locations where a separate washer and dryer wouldn't fit, the full-size tub (3.6 cu ft) means you won't be compromising on washing capacity.
Disclaimer: Dry times will take longer than conventional vented dryer.
