Answer:
Tub clean cycle once a month, check the lint catcher and empty the black tube of water. Have a container handy to collect the water that comes out. Make sure the gasket and door glass are dry before closing.

Answer:
Any time you are dealing with a machine, of any kind, there will be some form of maintenance required for proper operation. Proper care of your washer can extend its life. The outside of the machine can be cleaned with warm water and a mild, nonabrasive household detergent. Immediately wipe off any spills with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use methylated spirits, solvents, or similar products. Never use steel wool or abrasive cleansers; they can damage the surface. Use a towel or soft cloth to wipe around the washer door opening, door seal, and door glass. These areas should be kept clean to ensure a watertight seal. Be sure to wipe under the inside rubber seal to remove any moisture or soil. Always remove items from the washer as soon as the cycle is completed. Leaving damp items in the washer can cause wrinkling, color transfer, and odor. Run the TUB CLEAN cycle regularly to remove detergent buildup and other residue. Other recommended maintenance includes cleaning out the water inlet filters, emptying and cleaning the drain pump filter. Each of these steps can be found in the owner’s manual on pages 26-30.

Answer:
I think that is a "door open" indicator. If you open and close the door tightly, the washer should start in a few seconds. If not, you probably need to call for service.

Answer:
A DE Error Code is indicative of a “Door Error”. This indicates that the washing machine
door is not shutting, locking or opening.
If this is happening mid-cycle or at the end of the cycle, try powering off the unit and unplugging it. Leave it unplugged for about five minutes. If the door latch does not release once plugged back in and powered on, regrettably your unit may require service. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for troubleshooting tips and service information.

Answer:
I have had this happen to me too. The machine shifts the weight of the loads and then computes the time accordingly. You can use the speed wash settings so that the wash will take 15-25 minutes. Just be sure not to over load it.

Answer:
I did a load of clothes today with the soil set to heavy and the extra rinse and extra water settings. It took about 90 minutes to do the wash. Basically, the dirtier you tell the machine the clothes are, the longer it will take to do the wash.
