Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this washer and dryer. If the WDP3W is currently available in your area, it is the model designed for compatibility with this washer and dryer. It is also, however, no longer being manufactured. The only pedestal currently available is the model WDP4 series. An adaptor kit will be required to make the units compatible. This kit is part number AAA30793428. Accessories can be obtained through our parts distributor, MCM Electronics. Their contact number, for placing orders, is 800-824-9491.

1. There is hardly any water in this washer, with or without the water plus option. Normal front loading have the water level at maybe 40% or 30% percent. This washer the water is so low, you can't even see it from the window and when you stop it half way through the wash cycle, the water is barely discernible. What is the normal water level?
2. I had clothes that smelled pretty bad, real bad. I put them in, added bleach and detergent, chose heavy soil and after 97 minutes, the clothes smelled just as bad and worse yet, the washer smelled too. Can this really happen?
3. why does it take so many breaks while it tries to fill up the tank (even though it doesn't actually fill up anything !!!)
4. Was it installed incorrectly?

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this washing machine. The LG Front Load machines are designed to be different from the “normal” front load machines you have mentioned. This unit has both an inner and outer wash drum. As the water fills, it runs into the outer drum, to an average of 12 to 15 gallons of water. Traditional washers typically use between 50-60 gallons. As such, it is not uncommon for the water level to not be readily seen. The initial tumble pauses frequently in order to make sure that the load is balanced around the drum. The water level varies according to the amount and weight of clothing in the load. As for the smell, it is recommended to run the TUB CLEAN cycle. Page 25 of the owner’s manual discusses this cycle. Do NOT use this cycle with clothing, detergent, or fabric softener. According to the manual, it is recommended to run this cycle monthly to prevent such a smell.

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this washing machine. If water drips from the seal BETWEEN wash loads, then this means that water was not escaping during the wash cycle, which is according to the design of the unit. Remember to wipe the gasket dry, between loads, to prevent moisture retention.

The smell is horrendous and overwhelming, affecting the odor of the clothes. Is there a way to remove the gasket for cleaning? The monthly cleaning cycle recommended in the manual does absolutely nothing to address this problem.

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced in this matter. It is recommended to wipe the gasket down, to remove excess moisture at the end of each cycle. Leave the door open slightly to allow air circulation in the drum to allow the unit to dry. For the gasket itself, the fold in it will need to be periodically cleaned with a bleach and warm water solution. If this still does not resolve the matter, then the gasket may need to be replaced. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....
