Rated 3 out of 5 by ali Died on me after 4 years
We bought this washer in 2009 and it was great while it worked. But after 4 years of use, it died on us. Doesn't even power on anymore. Such a short life span for such an expensive purchase :(
Not recommended because of this reliability issue.

We purchase the WM3001HRA a few years ago now and can only say great things about it.
Too bad we did not purchase the dryer at the same time. Was too much money for both.
Too bad they are discontinued because i like to purchase the matching dryer now.
Anybody know the matching dryer model number. Please.

It is the best washer we have ever owned. It is so easy to use and the features and benefits are second to none. It also comes in a cool color! To be able to set the dial to the exact wash you need is great.

The features that are built into this washer, including 1) Extra-Large Capacity; 2) Easy-Use Controls; 2) Direct Drive Motor (Warranted for 10 Years); 3) Convenient Lint Cleaning Trap, and 4) Water Conservative Low Operating Cost make it a great value. Also, from an appearance standpoint, it is an attractive appliance that blends well with up-scale homes. Having had the washer for only a few days, I still have to try the True Steam and Allergiene features; however, with the reputation of LG, I am confident that there will be no disappoinment.

We did not plan on buying this washer and spending this much, but when we got to the store this was a discontinued model and was on sale for half off. Boy am I glad we purchased it . It has been just great. I holds hugh loads and we have washed kitchen ruags in it with not problem and they come out great. Also the steam feature is great to get out extra stains or to kill germs. We use this cycle when we wash our bed sheets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by unicorn527 Great washer!!
The washer is great. It is gentle to the clothes and will take a large load. I like that it does all the king size bedding in one load. The only thing I do not like is that there is no place to add products like powdered Biz which I now have to use as a presoak in the sink. The direction book could be more explicit in how to customize cycles and save the customizing. I wish after a person purchases the machine classes were offered in the programming of cycles. I love all the features the direction book tells me about though I unable to follow the written directions to program the machine or use them through programming them each time without being able to save them-make the direction book easier to follow.

Have been doing laundry since I was ten over thirty years. In that time i have own or used all but three brands of machines. This is the first washing machine that has gotten my clothes and army uniforms clean. also the first to clean and sanitize my wife's scrubs. This is a very quite machine after the first few minutes of start up, except for max spin speed it is a little noisy but what washer isn't. my clothes no longer smell musty after the wash. have been using this washer since the 20th of April 2010 with all free detergent. have washed max loads to a very small load. even cleaned the cat vomit off a rug. this washer is great.

Product cleans well and for everything except large loads it works great. When blankets, towles, and with other bulky loads this thing bucks, kicks, and bounces them clean. Not impressive at all.
