Answer:
Yes. I had the doors to my side by side washer & dryer open like café doors, washer to the left & dryer to the right, to enable easy transfer of clothes from washer into dryer. Mine was configured as such upon installation. Yours can still be configured by yourself with proper LG directions and/or outside help if you are not confident in doing so.

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this washing machine. It is normal for a small amount of water to remain in the dispenser, as the dispenser is flushed out again after the contents have been used. This can be emptied once the cycle is complete. If this is not the case, or a large amount of water is present, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

The float is sticking or the pump is not working. You need to call LG and have a service repair person come to fix the problem. I had the same issue.

Is the controlled water level same as High Efficiency rated washers? We want higher water levels than HE machines because they don't rinse well enough. Don't like HE.

What kind of detergent can you use?

This washer is HE and requires HE detergent. There is an "extra water" button for the wash cycle, as well and an "extra rinse" option.

Answer:
You can adjust the water level in both the wash and rinse cycles by simply holding the a water plus button in until the light goes on before the start of the wash cycle otherwise it weighs the load and adds what water you need. My clothes feel cleaner and seem to rinse out just fine. They recommend HE detergent but I haven't bought any. It's all in how much detergent you need, I use the pods and add then directly into the washer. Just don't use a high suds detergent.

Answer:
It varies depending on what you need washed. It weighs the load for you and determines how long the wash should take but it also has a quick wash and other cycles you can set it on. If you use the detergent pods for washing you have to put them in before the wash starts otherwise there is the place on the front where you add soap, softener and bleach.

Answer:
According to the information on page 29 of your owner’s manual, add tub cleaner or lime scale remover into the detergent dispenser drawer. Do not exceed the maximum detergent limit line. Detergent may remain in the tub after cleaning. When using liquid chlorine bleach, load it into the liquid chlorine bleach compartment. Press the POWER button. Turn the dial to the TUB CLEAN setting, and then press the START/PAUSE button to start the cycle.
