Answer:
I have washed a king sized goose-down comforter in my machine without any problems. Keep in mind though that down compacts quite a bit when wet, so I'm not sure how it will do with a non-down comforter. But so far, so good for me with my king size bed linens.

Answer:
Hi Ally,
Your interest in the LG - SteamWasher 4.0 Cu. Ft. 9-Cycle Ultralarge-Capacity High-Efficiency Steam Front-Loading Washer, Model # WM3250HWA is greatly appreciated. Thank you for contacting us with your question concerning whether or not this washer is big enough for a King size comforter.
The answer for that is not quite so simple only because there are so many different fills that are used in comforters making their respective weights very different. So allow me to answer your question this way. 4.0 cu. ft. is a large capacity and can hold from 14-16 lbs of washing, but that is wet clothing! As you and I know, wet clothing can be extremely heavy, especially a comforter!
Knowing the weight of your comforter will definitely help, fold it up and put it on a scale and weigh it! How much water soaks it is the key and if it appears that your comforter may possible exceed the weight capacity, it would not be advisable to put it into the washer 'cause you risk destroying your washer!
So in answer to your question, Yes, it is big enough, but I say that while issuing you the above caveat on the weight! Proceed with caution...IFV

Lost our owners manual. There is some where you must drain the washer from build up water over time. I need help figuring out how to do it.

Answer:
On the bottom left, there's a drawer. You also have to clean the filter in there.

Yes. The residual water is normal and to be expected. I simply pull the cup and dump out the water before adding detergent for the next load.

Answer:
Ours did the same thing for at first. After about 10 washes, the detergent cup no longer held the water. I assume it is part of the break in period for the machine.

There is a sensor on the washer and it determines that for you. Great feature. I wondered that at first myself.

Answer:
We literally just throw in what feels like, or looks like a reasonable load. We do not stuff it full, of course. I'd say that with a dry load of shirts, pants, underwear, etc. loaded in, the tub appears to be perhaps half full. The washer measures the weight by rolling the tub slowly in each direction several times, and after that process is complete, it adds the appropriate amount of water. There is seldom a lot of water in the tub but don't worry about it as it seems to clean everything excellently.
