I wanted to purchase an energy efficient washing machine that would handle my large kingsize bedding and this one does that very well. I have never had a problem with the spin cycle going off balance when I wash king size blankets by selecting the Large/Bulky wash load. This machine senses the load type! There are a lot of easy to select options for the wash cycle, including soil level, spin speed, speed wash, delicate cycle or extra rinse in the cycle that I use often. I have allergies so I love the TrueSteam Technology feature. It is very quiet and efficient when operating. My clothes get really clean, even in cold water. I also purchased the pedestal and that makes it easy on my back to load and unload. It has a digital display that tells me how long until the wash cycle is complete. The power on/off signal is a very soft little melody that I could turn off if I wanted to, but I like it. I chose the graphite steel color. My laundry center is neat and tidy with all my detergents and supplies in the large pedestal drawer. For the money, this washing machine is a great value and very easy to use. I have used this washing machine for almost a year and I am very happy with it. I think it is simply the best. Life's Good!

Product works flawlessly and the clothes come out cleaner and smelling fresher than any washer I have ever used before. Only one improvement I would make to the machine is to include a self cleaning cycle like some other washers have, but so far I have not needed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tester1 I love my new washer
This is my first front loader so I figured since I was getting a whole new washer and dryer set I would go for the best. After tons of research, price, quality, reviews (consumer and professional) I decided I had to have this one.
It cleans wonderfully and I can wash so much more in one load than I could with my old top loader! I am amazed at how much less water it uses. I haven't checked any way than by noticing when I'm washing dishes that the amount of water pressure I keep is amazing! No more laundry having to wait till I'm done with dishes!
I have not used the fastest spin setting but the one before it gets my clothes wrung out so well that I have no need for more.
Love the options and it keeps the kids entertained when their stuffed animals are being washed!

This washer is large enough for king size bedding. It is extremely quiet and plays a nice little song when the cycle is done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Boulderite Incredibly green, efficient washer
I wrote this on Amazon.com (where I bought this machine) so don't think I'm plagiarizing
--As of March 2012, this is the most efficient large capacity consumer washing machine according to the EPA. Google 'EPA washing machine' to see their website.
--This unit costs $10 a year to operate!!!
--Gets clothes really clean. I use the ultra efficient 'tap cold' setting every time and I haven't had a problem yet getting out tough stains (like blood)
--The steam mode is a nice bonus feature I think, but I don't really use it very often. But when i do, it's on a blanket on a cold day, and it's refreshing.
--The aller-genie mode (get it? as in allergy-fighting mode) does sheets very nicely, and I notice a real difference from my old washer
--Each load takes 1/2 the detergent I would normally use with my old top-loader.
--According to Consumer Reports, LG is the most reliable washing machine brand, and we haven't had any problems yet in last couple of months we've owned this machine.
--Easy install, setup, and operation. I'm not good with electronics, but it's easy even for me.
--Auto balance will determine the size of the load so you don't have to. It weighs it, which is interesting to watch!
--This is my first-front loader, and I hate that I must wipe the front rubber seal after each use. I have tenants who live in my house, so I worry that they'll forget to follow instructions and I'll have mold some day.
--Some wash modes take a long time! A full 'heavy' soiled load takes about 1.5 hrs.
--There is such a thing as too many options; there are 10 different wash modes! It can get a little overwhelming, but luckily 'normal/cotton' seems to work for just about everything
--As with all high efficiency washers, it's recommended that you use the special HE washing detergent, but I refuse to pay extra for my washing solution. Just use less of the normal detergent (so this is actually a positive if you ignore the advice).
I was hesitant to buy this washer as it's not very common and I could only find one review online. The more expensive LG 3875 seems to be far more common here in the USA, but there are 2 reasons why this model is better:
(1) Cheaper and
(2) More efficient
I was not disappointed. It has not leaked or otherwise malfunctioned. I love this machine, it makes washing fun, and I high recommend it!
