Rated 5 out of 5 by elle FUN Washer?
After being without a washer for a week, we were happy to put this into action. My son thought it was fun to watch through the lid. I was thrilled with how fast I caught up due to the LARGE capacity. This is likely as "fun" as laundry will get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lglover Love this Washing Machine
I bought this washing machine last week and ready to recommend it to anyone who asks. I actually saw it a couple of years ago in Best Buy and knew I wanted it then. Two friends of mine bought it and loved it so I finally decided to take the plunge and get my own. It is easy to use and you can fit so much into the tub! My clothes come out smelling great and looking good! It is so easy to use I've already showed all my kids.

Rated 2 out of 5 Did not last long
We loved this washer at first, hence 2 stars, but now it is died and we need to replace it. Have had it less than 2 years and had 2 recalls fixed on it. Then it started giving UE error signs and would run through cycles several times and fill the drum up completely to try and balance out the load, even when it was a small one. It got to the point where it would reach the rinse cycle and try to spin out then when it stopped and gave the UE code I'd turn off the machine and restart it with the rinse only cycle then wait for the UE code to take the clothes when done rinsing. Needless to say they were still fairly wet. If I didn't do that the thing would keep going for hours trying then refilling! The repair guy that was sent by LG said that the drums were shot and it would be more to fix than to buy a new one. Well we kept it a few more months and now it can't even agitate the load. So time to get a new one. Not buying that brand again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by WD On hot setting, water will only go to 98 degrees,
Purchased at Sears in 2012 and reported in 1st year that hot water selection would not dispense water above 98 degrees. After 1 1/2 years and 4 technicians, final determination is machine is working according to specs and will not dispense water above 98 degrees. I used this machine about 9 months just assuming it dispensed hot water until I interrupted wash cycle to add another item and found water only lukewarm. So it does not allow me to sanitize my bed linens and reusable baby diapers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ron62 This product works very well and does a good job.
I know that WT5001CW has been discontinued but it is a very good model top washer and we are pleased with the way it does the job for all levels of service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rusterbuster1 runs good but it rust
After about 2 years, my wife and I notice some rust appear around where the bleach dispencer is. Looking closer, I notice that the paint is starting to bubble up in different areas of the washing machine. I was told that rust is not covered under warranty. Other than the rust, it runs good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Caveat emptor Caveat emptor
Purchased this washer over two years ago. Worked like it should but noticed it had a terrible odor frequently so ran the clean cycle frequently. It always got an "unbalanced" error when cleaning it and took constant monitoring and several tries to complete. Frequently got the “unbalanced” error when running loads of all sizes. Got a recall notice for a software update to fix the problem and after doing so, made it even worse. Just finished a load that took over two hours to complete. Researching this problem, have read hundreds of similar complaints, looks like a long, unnecessary fight to try to get it fixed or replaced. Caveat emptor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MikeK2 Recall derates the machine
Interesting that you do not see the LG reviews on their site that are on many other related to the recall and the effects on their washing machine. I wonder if mine will get posted.
Our machine appeared to work fine before the recall but we did not run the real high speed rinse and we were quite careful with it. Since they "upgraded" the software, we now experience UE errors and the machine is constantly going out of balance and into infinite loops on the cycles. Cycle times also increase but about 30%. You need to babysit the machine to make sure it will finish a load. You definitely cannot leave the house with it running.
