Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this washing machine. According to page 15 of the owner’s manual, powdered and liquid color-safe bleach will not dispense correctly from the liquid bleach compartment. The liquid color-safe bleach will be added into the main detergent dispenser.

What is going on with the slow spinning to start the cycle?

Just got this washer. The first load we tried was Cottons with Steam. Turning the steam on it went from 59 min to 2:29. It wet the clothes and then slowly spun for like an hour before starting to do anything else. 2nd load we tried the Bright Whites with Steam. Same thing with this load, wet the clothes then slowly spun for like 45 minutes before the wash cycle seemed to start. Does turning steam on automatically cause it to soak?

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this washing machine. It is likely that what appears to be a slow turning is actually an agitation cycle occurring with the impeller disk at the bottom of the drum. When clothes are in the tub, this impeller will not be visible, but it does generate some motion throughout the wash tub. Some time difference can occur simply due to the size of the load. Some other time adjustments can be made due to the steam cycle. This is all normal. If you believe this to be acting inappropriately, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Answer:
I apologize, but no; this washing machine requires a certain level of vertical clearance in order for the lid to stay open. There is no option available to adjust the height or the required clearance.
