South Africa, March 26, 2009 – LG Electronics, a global consumer electronics leader and technology innovator unveiled its the LG BD370 Blu-ray player. The LG BD370 Blu-ray player adds internet connectivity to its already impressive list of features.

The LG BD370 supports BD Live (BD-ROM Profile 2.0), which enables users to connect to the internet and enjoy the streaming services of movie trailers, subtitles, related quizzes and multi-player interactive games, etc. With high-speed internet, users can access to a wide range of videos, such as current events, hobbies or viral videos, from YouTube, the internet’s No.1 online video community.

The LG BD370 gives the same outstanding performance in picture and sound quality as it does with its online capabilities. It delivers 1080p images with deep and vivid colour, thanks to its HDMI 1.3 connections which ensures that curves are smooth, details are sharp and colors are accurate.

The stylish, high-end design of the LG BD370 is eye-catching and elegant. The center panel light changes color to indicate the format currently in use; BD Live titles glow blue, changing to orange for DVDs and violet for CDs.

Dolby True HD and DTS-HD help improve high bit-rate audio. This amazing sound is bit-for-bit identical to the studio master, unlocking a truly high-definition entertainment experience from next-generation discs.

Enhanced versatility is another strong point of the BD370, which can play a variety of formats from different media. The LG BD370 is compatible with the following file formats: MPEG4 video, JPEG, MP3, and WMA.

With its Express Reaction Mode, the LG BD370 takes only 18 seconds to boot the player. Furthermore, you can insert a disc right after power-on.

The LG SIMPLINK connectivity makes it possible to control all the features in an entire compatible home theatre system with a single remote control. When not in use, the LG BD370 goes into an ultra-low power standby mode that draws less than one watt.

The LG BD370, will be available in May 2009 at a RRP of R3, 799.99.
