Johannesburg, 24th January 2011 – LG Electronics announces three new premium notebooks for the South African market. The notebook trio which includes the LG P210, LG P420 and LG A520, are the next dimension in mobile computing technology from LG which brings sleek outer casings and streamlined stylish designs to the market.

The LG P210 and P420 lightweight frames are compact and elegantly designed notebooks which offer high-speed connectivity to all style conscious users who are always on-the-go. The streamlined interior designs are made up of bezel which makes these notebooks 40 percent slimmer than regular models and sets a new standard in notebook designs. Both notebooks contain a crystal clear HD LED LCD display which adds to the enjoyment by bringing TV-standard graphics onto a notebook screen.

The LG P210 has a slick white exterior that packs an Intel® Core™ i3 or i5 Ultra Low Voltage processor with up to 4GB memory. The matt covering finish of this notebook blends in with almost any setting, while retaining an edgy feel that will make it a hit with the fashion forward everywhere.

The LG P420, is a 14-inch version of the LG P210, but sports 8GB of memory and the forthcoming 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor. It also boasts a crisp, high-quality HD display and features an NVIDIA® GeForce GT520M graphics card.

Together with the A520, the 2011 LG notebook range provides professional yet stylish portable technologies with next generation features, says Dr. Michelle Potgieter, Marketing Director of LG Electronics South Africa.

Saving the best for last, the LG A520, delivers the world’s first notebook with Full HD FPR[1] technology to give viewers truly outstanding one-of-a-kind portable 3D entertainment experience in display and sound. This is made possible due to the standards offered by the 15.6-inch Full HD 3D LED LCD display and the SRS Wide 3D sound system. The LG A520 packs a serious fast 3D punch for 3D games, movies or graphics and delivers near Full HD 3D experience with its Blu-ray playback, Bluetooth 3.0+HS and HDMI capabilities which is assisted by the NVIDIA® GeForce GT540M graphics card as well as the latest 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor. All three models combine the mobility and connectivity of notebooks with the unbeatable performance which is required in this socially mediated world. The new notebooks also offer an easy-to-use multimedia experience with Media Funtasia, making it easy to share media content with other DLNA-friendly[2] devices.
