LG Electronics (LG) will showcase its stunning Studio premium built-in home appliance lineup at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013 from January 8-11. LG Studio delivers a winning combination of innovative technology, energy efficiency and ultra-premium styling for an immediate upgrade to any modern kitchen.

LG stylish Ultra Premium Built-in Appliances

LG’s Studio

Spearheading LG’s luxury kitchen concept is the built-in, 42-inch side-by-side Studio refrigerator which boasts an impressive 26.5 cu.ft. capacity. All Studio refrigerators incorporate LG’s energy efficient Linear Compressor, a proprietary technology which keeps food fresher for longer and requires less power to operate. LG Studio includes a full complement of modern kitchen necessities, including ranges, wall ovens, warming drawers, cooktops, microwave ovens and dishwashers. Every model in the painstakingly designed and expertly engineered lineup shares a unified, and distinctly modern, appearance.

LG’s premium built-in collection also includes the new ultra large capacity three-door refrigerator equipped with the company’s unique door-in-door system. This quickly accessed, magnetically-sealed compartment is located in the fridge’s door and is ideal for storing frequently needed food and beverages. LG’s slim-depth three-door refrigerator stands flush with the surrounding wall or cupboards, creating a sleek, seamless look which belies its substantial 25 cu.ft. capacity.

“LG Studio is our premium kitchen lineup, showcasing the very latest in smart technology and ultra-modern design,” said Seong-jin Jo, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Home Appliance Company. “Visitors to CES 2013 will be able to see for themselves, the greater level of convenience and first class styling that our luxury built-in series offers. Having received ENERGY STAR® certification and many industry accolades, our high quality home appliances reflect an ongoing commitment to excellence.”

Larger, More Customizable Space for Greater Convenience

Both new LG Studio refrigerators feature the large interior capacities and a host of smart organizational features that help consumers adapt the space to their own needs. Besides offering additional shelf space, LG’s unique door-in-door feature allows quick, easy access to more sought-after items via the exterior door. The same items can also be accessed through a pressure-activated clear panel on the inside of the door-in-door shelves. LG’s door-in-door refrigerator also makes freezer organization easier with a three-tier shelf system designed to have more commonly used items within close reach on the top two shelves, and larger or longer-term storage items tucked away at the bottom.

Both new models also feature LG’s innovative Slim Space Plus™ icemaker which frees up valuable top-shelf space by moving the ice maker into the refrigerator door, giving LG’s door-in-door refrigerator an extensive amount of shelf space for a three-door model. Additionally, LG’s extra-tall ice and water dispenser can accommodate a wider variety of containers, thanks to its extra-tall height of 9.2 inches. LG’s built-in refrigerator also comes with adjustable shelving and sliding door baskets, while multiple pull-out drawers allow for the utmost in customized organization, enabling consumers to quickly locate exactly what they need.

Energy Efficiency and High Technology in a Stylish Design

All Studio refrigerators are ENERGY STAR® qualified in recognition of their energy efficiency. The refrigerators are built around LG’s Linear Compressor, one of LG’s four Core Technologies. Typically, a refrigerator’s compressor is either running at full capacity or turned off completely. LG’s Linear Compressor, on the other hand, varies output according to need to help achieve fewer temperature swings which can lower energy consumption. With fewer moving parts and greater efficiency, the motor is backed by a 10-year limited manufacturer’s warranty.

The new Studio refrigerators also feature LG’s proprietary Smart Diagnosis™. This technology helps customer service representatives quickly and efficiently troubleshoot mechanical issues over the phone, limiting costly, inconvenient service calls and in-home visits. If an in-home visit is required, the field technician can remotely collect the necessary information and then arrive on site with the correct parts, reducing the need for multiple visits. For minor problems, such as when the refrigerator door is unintentionally left open, the refrigerator will alert the owner through its display panel.

Sleek contoured doors and hidden hinges complement the premium design of LG Studio refrigerators. Highlighted by bright LED lighting in the walls and a horizontally brushed stainless steel finish, these refrigerators are as sophisticated as they are functional.

Smart Cooling Plus

Working in sync with the Linear Compressor is LG’s Smart Cooling Plus™ technology with unique Dual Evaporators that react quickly to humidity and temperature changes to help keep food fresh. Digital sensors inside the fresh food section also closely monitor temperature and humidity levels to help maintain the perfect temperature for food storage. Meanwhile, the Fresh Air Filter and Multi-Air Flow’s strategically located vents in every section of the refrigerator surround food items with cool air.
