Sydney, 4 December 2014 — LG Australia (LG) announced today that it will bid farewell to the Managing Director of its Australian business of almost three years, Mr. Deok Hyeon Moon.

Having moved into the top job in December 2011, Mr. Moon will head to LG’s newly named ‘Overseas Sales & Marketing’ company to work in the Marketing Strategy Division at HQ in Seoul, Korea. Prior to his role as Managing Director in Australia, for two years Mr. Moon was the president of LG's Russian subsidiary and before that was in charge of LG's business in Panama and Central America.

Effective 1 January 2015, Mr. Moon will be replaced by Mr. Youngik Lee as Managing Director for Australia. Previous to this role, Mr. Lee was part of the RAC Overseas Sales & Marketing at LG HQ in Seoul, Korea.

In a final executive move for the LG Australia business, it was also announced today that LG Australia’s current Head of Mobile Communications, Jonathan Banks, will leave the company in March 2015 to pursue other opportunities. LG will begin the search for Mr. Banks’ successor immediately.

Lambro Skropidis, General Manager, Marketing at LG Electronics Australia said: “Mr. Moon and Mr. Banks have been great advocates for the Australian business. Both have been instrumental in steering significant change and innovation during their time with us and they will be missed. We send them on with our very best wishes and look forward to welcoming Mr. Lee as we move into the New Year.”
