Sydney, 19 January 2009 - LG Electronics Australia (LG), a leader in home appliance technology and innovation, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of this year's Good Food & Wine Show.The Good Food & Wine Show has rapidly established itself as Australia's largest consumer food and wine show and 2009 sees the exhibition visiting Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane. Last year's shows attracted over 120,000 visitors and this year hopes to see visitor numbers exceed this figure.

LG will be sponsoring the LG Celebrity Theatre which will be headlined by one of the world's most famous chefs, Gordon Ramsay, in Melbourne and Sydney. Gordon Ramsay, as well as several Australian Celebrity chefs, will be giving cookery demonstrations using LG products which will give consumers the opportunity to view LG's new range of innovative cookery products including cooktops, ovens and the versatile SolarDOM Light Wave Oven.

The chef line up for the Brisbane and Perth shows are to be confirmed shortly.

In addition to the LG Celebrity Theatre, there will also be an LG VIP lounge that will feature LG products, events and demonstrations.

This activity is just part of LG's plans to re-launch its range of cookery products, which is to be enhanced and expanded in 2009. The company will also be showcasing its extensive range of refrigerators and wine cellars. As an incentive to LG customers, the company is writing to all registered web newsletter customers offering a $5 discount on the price of their admission ticket *.
