Sydney, Australia, 24 March 2009 - LG Electronics (LG), a Global Partner of Formula 1™ and a Technology Partner of Formula 1™, will be leveraging its partnership and deploying consumer activations at the first round of the 2009 Formula 1™ Championship in Melbourne this weekend (Friday 27th - 29th March 2009.)

Visitors to the LG Design Centre can experience some of LG's latest stylish and pioneering products from the mobile phone range, including the 8 megapixel camera phone Renoir (KC910) and the soon to be released Arena (KM900) multimedia handset, the 2009 flat panel TV and AV ranges whilst watching all the race action streamed live from the track.
In addition, fans will have the opportunity to win a number of LG products as part of a $5,000 daily prize pool, and get a once in a lifetime experience of having their photo taken sitting in a full scale Formula 1™ car with their own pit crew. These images will be available to download free from a dedicated mircrosite.
As the Official Data Processor of Formula 1™ LG will be identified and credited on the official live timing service at all Formula 1™ events and in the associated timing and data TV graphics. The company will also enjoy a comprehensive package of premium marketing rights worldwide in association with the Formula 1™ brand.
