Sydney, 9 October 2014 – If you think about it, music has been ‘flowing’ with us ever since we first started lugging around boomboxes. With the launch today of Music Flow, LG Australia’s (LG) new range of wirelessly connected audio speakers for the home, music lovers are in store for a treat that is set to take this experience to new levels of enjoyment.

LG Music Flow Speakers (models H3, H5, H7), Sound Bar (model HS6), Network Bridge (model R1) and the companion Music Flow Player application for smartphones form a smart audio eco-system that connects the home. Through the Music Flow app (available on Android, iOS and computers) users can centrally manage their entire digital music library across multiple devices and control all Music Flow speakers. The app can also recommend songs and playlists, provide easy access to internet streaming services and function as a smartphone music player when the user is on the go.

How do you use Music Flow?

Each Music Flow speaker links with another wirelessly and lets you choose from a variety of home audio configurations. In other words, users can play whatever audio they choose (it could be a song, album, playlist or streaming service) across the entire house for an immersive experience across a wide area or alternatively designate unique music to each room to fit individual tastes.

 Sound Bar

For example…mum’s got a weird thing for sand-socked acoustic surf balladeers in the kitchen? Sorted. Dad prefers the sounds of a slinky jazz chanteuse for his den? Done. Teenage Son wants to blast muscular metalcore in his cave-like bedroom, while age-sixteen sister cranks cheesy house anthems in her princess suite? Tick! The Music Flow can assign different tunes to different rooms. Another useful streaming feature is Bluetooth.Link which allows any Bluetooth audio to be repeated across all of your Music Flow Speakers, including YouTube®.

If you return home listening to music on your smartphone, the Simple Music Syncing function will allow you to listen to the same tune on the Music Flow speakers, filling your entire home or just a select room. This multi-room wireless audio system ’keeps the flow going’ whether you are hosting a party, keeping everyone in the family content or just seeking good vibes after work. NFC tags are also built into all of the Music Flow Speakers, so you can just ‘tap’ your compatible phone and let the music flow as you travel from room to room.

Not sure what music to listen to? Well, why not go where your mood takes you. The Mood Station function in the App allows you to simply select a current mood, whether it be romantic or calm. Mood Station (powered by Gracenote) will then automatically compile a playlist from your music to match your mood.

So, how does it sound?

The short answer is, great! The Music Flow series of speakers run on the latest wireless Mesh-Network technology, which includes dual band Wi-Fi support (2.4/5GHz) to deliver streaming music throughout the home or to individual speakers. Each wireless speaker not only produces rich sound with clarity and depth, but also can act as a Wi-Fi extender for the other Music Flow speakers in the home. Two Music Flow speakers can even be placed as a stereo group to specifically play dedicated left + right audio for a room filling sound experience.

Consumers are increasingly purchasing music online where they can access high quality music files. Thanks to the Music Flow’s HD Music Playback feature, which supports studio-like 24 bit/192kHz music files, consumers can enjoy the overall clarity of high quality audio files.

The Music Flow range includes the Network Bridge (R1), three sizes of speakers (the 70W H7, 40W H5 and 30W H3) and the 320W Sound Bar (HS6), which at over a metre long is ideal for large screen TVs. The HS6 Sound Bar links to the other Music Flow Speakers around your house, so you can hear your TV sound throughout the home. The HS6 Sound Bar includes a wireless sub- woofer for easy room placement, plus the ability to decode Dolby Digital and DTS surround signals.

Is the Music Flow system easy to control remotely?

Yes! No matter how large or small, the entire Music Flow set-up can be controlled from one or multiple smartphones via the Music Flow Player app. While the app makes for an easy-to-use master control unit, the Music Flow system enables access to digital audio collections on your network devices. The app even lets users seamlessly stream audio from online sources like Spotify premium (the full paid version of the app), Deezer premium, and TuneIn via the Audio Streaming Service function. Plus, with Bluetooth.Link you can stream any music streaming service plus the likes of YouTube® throughout your home!
