Sydney, Australia, 30 March 2009 - LG Electronics Australia (LG) sets a new standard in the audio visual industry with the launch of its first Blu-ray home theatre system, completing the Blu-ray home entertainment experience.
LG's first premium Blu-ray home theatre system, HB954WA is set to provide the most vivid audio experience available on the market - providing absolute clarity in audio and video. The powerful 1,000-watt home theatre system also boasts LG's Full HD picture quality featured in its televisions, and high resolution sound tuned by renowned audio expert and Chief Sound Advisor for LG Electronics, Mr. Mark Levinson.
"Australia's Blu-ray market is growing each year, and the rising popularity of Full HD TVs is driving expansion in the audio visual market," said Stan Bilinski, Senior Category Marketing Manager, LG Electronics Australia.
"People are looking for home theatre systems that are integrated, stylish and technologically advanced and LG's HB954WA is designed to specifically meet these needs. Adding to Australia's first Blu-ray player with YouTube access, the LG BD370, consumers now have the option of a complete Blu-ray home entertainment package," added Stan.
The new 5.1 channel surround sound system incorporates LG's advanced surround sound engine, fully compatible with Dolby True HD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio Essential. Adding to its sound capabilities is bass boost, MP3 up-scaling, Night Mode, optimised modes for different TV program genres and a special equaliser setting for videogames.
The new HB954WA is also BD Live capable enabling users to connect to the internet and download movie trailers, subtitles and other data as well as enjoy related movie quizzes and multi-player interactive games.
Supporting a variety of formats from Blu-ray DVDs to CDs, the HB954WA enables customers to enjoy outstanding performance in both sound and picture. Easy installation thanks to LG's HDMI 2 Input (HDMI In/Out Port) is another new feature of the HB954WA. It supports HDMI, allowing the system to deliver Full HD 1080p images with deep and vivid color.
Dock & Play allows an iPod to be directly connected to the LG HB954WA, providing an unparalleled listening experience for your portable music collection. The system's powerful speakers and subwoofer fill the room with music and you can quickly browse through the iPod music library using the home theater system's remote control.
The LG HB954WA also adds new life to old DVDs, transforming standard-definition DVDs to Full HD 1080p resolution via HDMI up-scaling.
From the very first glance, this home theater system stands out. With deep glossy color and champagne flute-shaped speakers, LG's HB954WA creates an elegant atmosphere in the home.
