I cannot search my model on smartphones with KitKat or Lollipop for
SmartShare Beam. Why?
Symptom
I cannot search my model on smartphones with KitKat or Lollipop for SmartShare Beam.
Applicable model : KitKat OS, Smartphones with KitKat Or Lollipop
Cause
KitKat and Lollipop uses different solutions and supports different models for SmartShare Beam.
From Lollipop, WFDS solution is used for SmartShare Beam. To use SmartShare Beam,
models with Kitkat uses ITEC solution for models before G3, and ITEC and WFDS for later
models. In case of a G2 with KitKat, it can use only ITEC and one with Lollipop can only
use WFDS. Therefore the models cannot search each other.
※ Note : A G3 KitKat can use SmartShare Beam with G2 KitKat as it uses KFDS and ITEC.
When you upgrade G2 KitKat to Lollipop, it will use WFDS solution,
therefore SmartShare Beam can be run.
