What People Are Saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Improved Installation Instructions Follow standard instructions exactly as shown through Step 6. Follow Step 7, parts 1, 2 and 3. DO NOT DRILL PILOT holes as instructed in part 4. Instead use duct or masking tape to secure the top bracket to the cabinet. Step 8: DO NOT DRILL PILOT holes as instructed. Again use duct or masking tape to secure the bottom bracket. Step 9: Install the Trim Frame as instructed in parts 1 and 2. Now test how the oven door opens. Often it will not open because the space between the trim and the door is too small to allow the door to pass. Some times it opens but jams agains the left side of the trim. Rarely will it work the first time. If the door does open without jamming or rubbing against the trim remove the trim, drill the pilot holes and insert the screws. I do this without removing the tape first. If the door does not open or jams against the trim, remove the trim and adjust the top and bottom brackets a couple mm to the left using the center line. Again DO NOT drill pilot holes. Use tape. Now try installing the trim kit again and the door opening again. Repeat if necessary. Once the door operates correctly, remove the trim drill the pilot holes and secure the system with the provided screws. If you drill the pilot holes as instructed and then need to adjust the location of the brackets, you will weaken the cabinet and may need to use filler so there is enough wood for the screws to grip.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beware - Plastic Corners What you don't see in the pictures is the plastic corners on this trim kit. I was shocked to open it up and see plastic corners holding this thing is together. Nowhere in the product pictures do you see the plastic corners. I am truly disappointed in this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Money - Trim Kit MK2030F Is there a way to rate this product with "ZERO STARS"? There is a reason there are so many poor reviews of this product on the web. I am an above-average do it yourselfer and many of the problems cited in those reviews were encountered during this install. The trim kit frame is flimsy and held by plastic brackets at the corners using some type of double sided adhesive that is sticking out of the edge. When taken out of the box, the corners all appear to have small indentations where the stainless is affixed to the plastic brackets. It looks horrible installed with brand new appliances. Using the templates and following the instructions verbatim results in not being able to open the door all the way. The trim kit is not flat and will not sit flat on the opening even though everything is level. Could go on and on...... Not buying another LG product. In addition, the microwave itself has a turntable issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish .clean looking This microwave is so quiet that at first I didn't think it was working. The only complaint I have about it is that the sensor cook option doesn't seem to work too well for cooking baked potatoes.
