I have never had to empty the water which is good as I never found a way to access the tank. Was told at Home Depot that it won't require emptying, yet there is a "water full" light that has never come on. In the midst of a major heat wave and this thing makes my house a go to destination for my buddies.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality, lasts just past warranty Beware of purchasing LG portable air conditioners. I purchased one and after just over a year of use, when I went to remove the hose from the window, it fell apart. I tried contacting LG customer service and they were not helpful at all. They wouldn't say what could have caused this problem, only that I have to purchase a new hose at a cost of $130 plus shipping. This is absurd to think that I have to pay for replacing this product, which potentially could have the same issue in another 1 years time. The hose was not abused and was not frequently moved in and out of the window either. In comparison, I have had a Danby portable air-conditioner in another room for over 10 years which has been great and continues to run strong. And the simple parts, such as the hose has shown no signs of wear. Very disappointing experience with LG.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad warranty I purchased this air conditioner at Home depot. Year to the day the system stopped pumping the water automatically. I now have to manually drain. Called LG for warranty. Was told to bring it to Home Depot. Home Depot told me they do not make the repairs. Called LG again. They informed me that the system was marked as not ecenomic to repair and that I had to send them a copy of my receipt. I sent it and was told it would take 7-10. After 10 days I called LG only to be told that my file was spent because I failed to call them after I sent my receipt which no one told me to do. Was told that they were going to look into it. After another 7 days I phoned back and was told that they were not going to do anything with my unit because my unit was still blowing cold air. I explained to them that although my system is blowing cold air that the unit was not pumping water as it should. They again agreed with me that the unit was not working as designed and that they would expedite my concern. 7 days later and I am now being told that there is still no answer to my problem. First call was made on July 6th, 2017 and as of today July 31st still nothing..

I set it back up this year and it worked great for 2 days and then it shut off and wont turn back on. I have tried absolutly everything to get it to work with no luck. I will never buy a lg air conditioner again.
