LG Electronics Canada brings music and sexy temptation to Montreal

Fashion Show at Club Soda kicks off LG Phone Experience tour as, Canadians get their hands on LG’s hottest new phones

Montreal, May 3, 2007 ---   Fashionistas and technophiles are coming together for an amazing evening of style and music on May 3rd as Montreal welcomes the LG Phone Experience, a national tour celebrating style, design and music.

Kicking it all off is a special evening  featuring the sexy fashions of Montreal designer SHAN, Chevrolet’s new HHR and LG Electronics’ trend-setting FUSIC and the Chocolate Series mobile phones.  LG Electronics Canada will rock the house at Club Soda on May 3rd with a luscious night of temptation and rhythms. LG’s Chocolate phone series and FUSIC mobile phone will be strutted down the catwalk with models wearing couture label SHAN’s 2007 swimwear and lingerie collection, showing that function and fashion can truly come together.

The LG Phone Experience tour hits the Mail Champlain May 4th-8th and Promenades St-Bruno May 9th-13th, giving consumers a chance to see the FUSIC and the Chocolate Phone Series. One of the cool features of the FUSIC phone is an MP3 player with a built in FM radio transmitter that lets you listen to your tunes while you drive. The Chevrolet HHR is the perfect vehicle to show off the style and sound of the FUSIC phone.

“Canadians now demand more when choosing a mobile phone because they want a device that is both fashionable and that suits their needs,” says Andrew Barrett, VP of Marketing, LG Electronics Canada. “With the Chocolate Phone Series, LG provides the perfect accessory to style-conscious Canadians, and music lovers will discover that the FUSIC is the device of choice, combining design and music. Montreal is an international fashion hub and home to many talented designers. We are thrilled to celebrate our phones amongst the amazing fashions of SHAN in her hometown.”

“Cell phones are now an integral part of our lifestyle, and for many, a must-have fashion item. With its stylish and exquisite FUSIC and Chocolate phones, LG has become to electronics what Shan is to the fashion industry; the ultimate luxury and pure refinement,” said Chantal Levesque, Founding Designer, SHAN. “We’re very excited to present our 2007 Collection here in Montreal with such a great partner, who understands the true sense of style and design in every aspect of our lives.”

"Chevrolet is pleased to be the exclusive vehicle partner for the LG Phone Experience National Tour," said Jim Scott, General Motors of Canada National Advertising Manager for Chevrolet. "The LG Fusic phone is a natural fit for the Chevrolet HHR, with its distinctive styling and unique features, enabling consumers to express their individuality.”

Already an icon of style and sophistication, the Chocolate Phone Series is as sensory pleasing and decadent as the rich delicacy it was named for. The Chocolate Phone Series is the result of a global design effort. With six design centres across the world, including Seoul, Milan, Beijing, New Delhi, Tokyo and New Jersey, LG Electronics shows commitment to following a design-led product development strategy, a strategy that will help establish LG as the number one manufacturer of design-focused mobile phones worldwide.

With its built-in Media Player with external controls and customizable equalizer, supporting popular file formats, and built-in FM radio transmitter technology, the FUSIC phone will appeal to gadget lovers seeking the latest technology and wanting to take their music everywhere. And to jazz things up, the FUSIC comes with interchangeable colourful faceplates, which will be music to the ears of technophiles looking to accessorize.
