LG TONE STUDIO AND TONE FREE BRING NEW LEVEL
TORONTO, Dec. 27, 2016 — LG Electronics (LG), a leader in Bluetooth headset technology, will unveil a number of new wireless, wearable audio products at CES® 2017. The lineup will be led by TONE Studio wearable speakers capable of delivering amazing 3D surround sound and TONE Free earphones with wireless earbuds that charge when docked in the companion neckband.
Featuring four external speakers, the TONE Studio (model HBS-W120) offers premium surround sound featuring two full range main speakers just below the wearer’s ears delivering rich, immersive surround sound and two vibrating speakers at the tips of the neckband closest to the collarbone for richer, warmer sound with excellent dispersion at the lower frequency ranges. In designing the TONE Studio’s realistic theatre quality sound, LG collaborated with experts at DTS, specialists in digital surround sound formats used in both commercial, theatrical and consumer applications. The TONE Studio is also equipped with a Hi-Fi DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) that enhances sound quality while recreating audio content as accurately as possible. What’s more, its Dual Play function connects to two separate sound systems to allow multiple listeners to enjoy audio from the same source.
TONE Free (model HBS-F110) is LG’s first wearable neckband style audio product to also feature wireless earbuds that charge whenever they are docked in the neckband, always ready for immediate use. LG’s unique neckband not only provides extra battery power and vibration alerts, it also provides a secure place to hold the earbuds when not in one’s ears, making them far less likely to get lost. Go completely hands free by answering or declining a call with just voice commands for a real wireless stereo experience. An optional charging cradle will deliver additional power for those times when the neckband might not be appropriate or convenient. With no cords, no tangles and no hassles, the LG TONE Free is the most comfortable, most innovative wireless earbuds for today’s connected consumers.
The TONE Studio and TONE Free are just two of the marquee products in LG’s Bluetooth headset lineup at CES 2017. Other models to be unveiled include TONE Infinim (model HBS-920) which utilizes LG’s Metal Layer Speaker Technology to produce clean, crisp sounds and TONE Ultra (model HBS-820), developed in collaboration with audio specialist JBL, featuring dual MEMs microphones for remarkable call clarity. LG’s entire lineup of wearable audio products including TONE Platinum, TONE Active+, TONE Pro and LG FORCE will be on display at CES 2017 from Jan. 5-8 in Booth #11100 in Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“LG has a rich legacy of innovating in the wearable audio market, and our products have become the standard by which all other earphones are judged,” said Michael Park, vice president of Innovative Personal Devices Business Division at LG Electronics. “We are committed to leading the way in this fast moving market by developing exciting new products which appeal to every music-loving and convenience-seeking individual.”
