CONNECTING TO A WIRELESS NETWORK
Before you can connect to your network you will need to make sure you have the following:
LG Wireless Adapter (AN-WF100)
Is your home wireless network already set up and working for other devices?
If so, connect the LG wireless adapter to the USB port on the LG device. The wireless adapter must be LG branded.
If not, check to ensure the LAN cable is routed properly.
If you do not have a modem/router, you will not be able to connect your television to a wireless network. Contact your internet service provider for additional information regarding hardware requirements
Connect the AN-WF100 WiFi adapter to the television while powered on.
Once the adapter has been connected, a message should appear-"Connecting the wireless USB dongle. Network is not connected. Do you want to set the Network?"
Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.
Selecting the Network Setting Type
Setting from the AP List is the standard setting type.
After searching for Access Points, the list of networks in range will be displayed here. You can choose from the available networks then click 'Connect'.
The device will now attempt to successfully communicate with the selected router or access point.
If the AP (Access Point) was not broadcasting during the time of the initial search, press the AP Search button to re-scan for available networks.
If the network is password protected, you will be prompted to enter the Network Key after connecting to the router. The Network Key is case sensitive and must be entered exactly. Note: To change the keyboard from T9 to a full on-screen keyboard, press the volume up/down key.
Simple Setting (WPS-Button Mode)
Setting Ad-hoc Network
Auto IP Setting (Most Common)
Manual IP Setting (advanced, Less Common)
If you prefer to set the Manual IP Settings, you may need to contact your Internet Service Provider to obtain the necessary IP information. You can attempt to do the following manually using the steps below.
By knowing the IP address of the computer or a router on the network, you can assign this device an IP address. You simply change the last set of numbers to a number that is not being used by any other device on the network.
The additional information (Subnet Mask, Gateway, DNS) from the command window can be entered into the remaining fields of the IP settings on the LG device.
