In some cases, audio distortion can be the result of reverberation from having the audio too loud, an unsecure device connection to the set, or even interference being bled in from the lines used to connect your cable/satellite box.

Secure the connections

Before any in depth troubleshooting occurs, you first need to inspect your setup and verify that every cable is firmly connected.

Any Device that comes loose/unhooked could be the cause of the issue.

Does this happen on all connected devices or only on one?

If audio distortion is present on all inputs/devices and the connections are connected properly the television may require service.

If the audio distortion is only present on one input, try using a different cable first.

If this is happening with a Coax/Antenna connection, disconnect the cable and ensure that the pin in the middle of the connector is as straight as can be made. Reconnect the coax cable tightly.

Note: It may be necessary to auto tune your television after this is done.

If this only happens on one/several channels, you will need to contact your cable/satellite service provider or the broadcast station itself for further assistance.
