What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product has great features I like the size of it. It fits right in my utility closet in my kitchen. I had stack able ones and they took up to much space in my closet. The wash to dry cycle is awesome. I can leave and come back an hour later and the clothes are dry, and if I don't back it back it goes to the cool down mode and my clothes aren't wrinkled. The best washer and dryer purchase I made.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useful for half a year It fits perfectly and does just the right load size for two adults, but that's all the ended up being good. It was amazing the first six months we owned it, but the dryer feature stopped working about six months after purchasing it. The warranty covered repair got it working again just long enough for the warranty to expire. I love that you can set it to start at a future time, but it's difficult to clean around the door and makes a very expensive washing machine when the drying doesn't work. I recently took it apart to see if maybe it was our cats' hair clogging something but found no hair, only blistered paint and rust. I've had good experiences with LG's cellular phones and refrigerator, but this washer dryer combo was a failure. I'd be hesitant to buy a newer model at full price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Idea, TERRIBLE DESIGN I have just moved into an apartment complex, so I am kind of stuck with this unit. The idea of a washer/dryer combo is wonderful. The design behind this idea is absolutely horrible. I started my laundry approx 4 hours ago, and I am drying it now for the 3rd time; so another 2 hours for a few shirts, socks, & undergarments. I always keep my loads small, but 6 hours to do a load of laundry is insane.\ If I ever have to purchase a new washer or dryer, it will most definetly NOT be an LG.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good for tight spaces, hard to clean The small size is great for an NYC apartment where space is a premium. However it does not have a lint trap or an exhaust that can be cleaned. Need to pull the machine apart to get at the wet lint balls stuck in the ductwork. Next iteration: put a hatch in the back of the machine with removable air flow duct so the thing can be cleaned top to bottom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Usefull Machine This is one of the best purchases I have made this year. The drying time does take a little getting use to but the cleaning is wonderful. I needed a machine because i like most hated going to the laundrymat. But living in an apartment there was no place for a washer and dryer. So found this little producty selling fit the bill. I'm in laundry heaven fresh clean clothes everyday no laundrymat. For all those saying you have to wait for the Cd to go away to open the door, No You Don't...Here is a trick i have learned when you see the Cd on the display just press the Start/pause button wait for the click, then take your clothes out. Also i have gotten use to having a rag nearby to clean around the rubber seal only takes 30 - 45 seconds

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this Just moved into an apartment with this washer/dryer combo unit. It is so small you can only wash a days worth of clothes. So you have to wash everyday. But you can't wash everyday because it takes two days to dry your clothes. My first load was a towel, two boxer shorts, a shirt, and 4 socks. 2 days later I am still trying to dry my clothes. The pants I took out of the washer and hung up are dryer than the stuff I left in the machine. I have been waiting for 4 hours for this stuff to dry and it's just as wet as before. Don't waste your money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent machine with important limitations This unit has been the perfect solution for our situation: an urban couple in a tiny apartment (who absolutely HATE the laundry-mat!!), with no basement access to setup a traditional washer /dryer pair. Important note: if you like to dry all your clothes in the machine (i.e. not hang them up to air dry) you will NOT be happy with this condenser dryer. You can only dry a few items at a time, and it will take about an hour and a half. As well, the rubber gasket that seals the door will impart a slight odour to the dried items until it has been used a while. We don't use fabric softener or strong smelling detergent so your results may vary. The last drawback is that it is pricey. However, we have owned it for 5 years, probably running it 5 days out of seven, and it has been rock solid, with only 1 self-repair needed. After 4 years of light use of the dryer function, the clothes started coming out damp. Googling the problem, I was able to easily take it apart and clean the accumulated lint out of the condenser tube with a long bottle washer. Voila- back to normal, and still perfect a year later. Replacement parts seem to be reasonably priced from third party vendors to boot. If you're handy, you should be able to keep it running for a good long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase that I have made in a long time. I own the LG washer/dryer combo without regrets. It is quiet, doesn't take up much space, and gets the job done. I used to hate going to the laundry room or the laundry mat so much that I avoided it until I ran out of underwear. Now I look forward to washing in my LG washer/dryer combo, and my clothes do not pile up as they did in the past. I also live in an apartment that doesn't have a washer/dryer hook up in my unit. I simply connect the hose to the faucet, load the machine, add the detergent, and go on about my business. No longer do I have to go up and down the stairs, hauling laundry, or worrying about some stranger stealing my clothes from the dryer. My LG is convenient, safe, and dependable. I recommend it to anyone who live in a small home.
